A comment made to me by a senior Pakistani Ambassador a few months ago. A sentiment I find to be very true.
How many of you feel that this is the case as well? And how many of you spend most of your time about our home instead of doing something constructive?
Re: Pakistan's worse enemies are Pakistanis themselves
ok....back to the topic.
I agree that Pakistanis can sometimes be their own worst enemies. As much as I dont like to generalize, we DO see lots of far-fetched conspiracy theories coming from some (note SOME!) Pakistanis. Its common in certain groups of Pakistanis to blame anyone but themselves for anything from a bad match in marriage to the recent bombing attempt in Times Square. Sure this happens in every culture and every country but I see it as a bit more pronounced in Pakistanis.
For bad marriages, its the parents fault. For suicide bombing attacks, they're actually carried out by USA or India to deflect attention from other things.
When people take responsibility for their actions instead of pointing fingers anywhere but at themselves, things will begin to improve.
Re: Pakistan's worse enemies are Pakistanis themselves
Yea I do agree with this statement . Other day someone on Chat was saying that we can't blame innocent voters of Pakistan , as they don't know enough , and politicians make Ullo of them . I think its not true . Everyone in Pakistan knows what is wrong for us and what is right , but still we elect the wrong people . And not once but again and again and again .
Re: Pakistan's worse enemies are Pakistanis themselves
true......as it is such a complex fabric...our priorities keep on changing...we never come with one strong decision while electing our leaders or representatives..... don't even possess political sensibility to run a democratic system of govt.
Re: Pakistan's worse enemies are Pakistanis themselves
Agree totally. Look at who has caused the most damage to us. None other than ourselves. Who else can you blame to where are we right now! Extremely shameful for all of us.
Re: Pakistan's worse enemies are Pakistanis themselves
Pakistani general public should not be blamed,
for last 60 years Pakistan ruled by an Elite class 3-4% bureaucrats, Feudalism, and few Rich families.
Pentagon elects our presidents and prime minster
Look at the current situation.
Cannot comprehend the Problems a common man have we can chat but Honestly currently Its Real TOUGH out there no electricity ,Gas, petrol prices over the roof , LPG shortage , inflation rate is over 15% Can you Imagen????
Re: Pakistan's worse enemies are Pakistanis themselves
are bureaucracies gonna make a change in the prevailing condition?would any one enjoying liberty and status struggle to make a real change?then who is to make it happen?neither bureaucracies nor common people.......so may b some one supernatural...feudal are too selfish to do it...n commons are too naive to realize it.....
Re: Pakistan's worse enemies are Pakistanis themselves
A common man is too weak , leaders are corrupt , bureaucrat & feudal are far too busy multiplying their wealth
1, Since I was a child I have always heard
Ruling party saying 'MULK nazuk tareen dor say guzar raha hai ' coz of previous policies
Opposition saying ' MULK main tabdeeli ki zururat hai ' coz of current government
Common man sayong ' Bauhat halat kharab hain yar '
2, Pakistan have huge potential of growing ,we have every thing literally everything other countries only dream of ,
3 we cannot make long term plans because they are longer then 5 years and our rulers don't like to start any thing that finish after there ruling term because another party may get the credit for that..
Finally the most Important thing is we as a nation are KAAM CHOOR and only do our job properly if we have a danda on our head ,
In my week opinion ! democracy is not suitable for Pakistan !!!
we need a dictator and a seriously strong one who is not from any political party and not representing punjabis or sindhis but represent Pakistan.
Re: Pakistan's worse enemies are Pakistanis themselves
My mum got mad at me when I said that the Pakistanis are Pakistan's worst enemy. It was horrible when I visited a few months ago. Not all of them are that way, most of them think they are unable to do anything. I agree with clad, the pakis have a lot of potential. It seems a lot of the super clever pakistanis that were sent here to learn just end up staying here.
Re: Pakistan's worse enemies are Pakistanis themselves
true guys.....n do agree with clad's opinion...democracy is a very complex way of govt that needs high sensibilty among common people regarding political issues in order to play their active role in state's affairs....so either we raise that sensibilty level among our selves or we go for dictataorship....
