Pakistan's surrender in Bangladesh.

A small clip

Gen. A. A. Khan Niazi was a scape goat in this entire fiasco created by cowards in the west.

Re: Pakistan's surrender in Bangladesh.

Yeah Bhattu was the main coward in chief...

Both the then Leaders paid with their lives, Mujib and Bhutto.

Re: Pakistan’s surrender in Bangladesh.

And it took bravery to kill Bengalis? Or bravery to steal the election from Mujeeb?

Re: Pakistan's surrender in Bangladesh.

Tikka Khan ordering the massacar if students in Dhacca, and the inapt drunkard Yahya can also be blamed for all that happened!

Re: Pakistan's surrender in Bangladesh.

how conveniently you forget the role played by mukti bahani.

corruption took place on both sides.

can you tell me about the "gains" india made on the western battlefront?

personally i think it was a good thing that "bengali desh" seperated. how nice to see that bengali has become a universal language.:)
we would have to surrender to the blackmail, just like the govt of pakistan did surrender to the blackmail of bagti and marri tribals in balochistan for decades, but thanks to musharraf govts action, it has put them straight.

bangladesh is surrounded by india from three sides.

the squardran 14 of the pakistani airforce was responsible for the east pakistan's safety. compared the number of fighter jets in pakistan's posession to that of the indians, you'll see pakistanis were outnumbered.

the strategy of pakistan was always to start skirmishes on the western front if india got any ideas on the eastern front. thanks to "linguistic based politics", india succeeded in bangladesh. though i agree there were many problems, but "to protect our bengali language" was one of them. like bangladesh has solved any of its problems? there is still no universal health care and bangali is not the universal language which they wanted to make it?

many bangladeshis will tell you today, "well you pakistanis forced us to speak urdu".
well many bangladeshis i know can speak and understand hindi, shouldnt' you ban all hindi movies to protect ur language?

edited for spellings

No only cowards can kill the weak and steal elections...

Re: Pakistan's surrender in Bangladesh.

I don't blame A K Niazi a lot. He needs our sypmathies. The real players were sitting in Islamabad and Dhakka. He was just one person who by the act of surrender became the object of mockery.

I salute my army who fought in extreemly tough situation in East Pakistan.

Re: Pakistan's surrender in Bangladesh.

Gen Drunk and Gen Tiger were the reason we dont have East Pakistan

Agian Boots are only good to kill their own people

Re: Pakistan's surrender in Bangladesh.

well too many players in one fiasco and all need to be given due recognition but naturally the poor planning of eastern command was the reason we surrendered otherwise we might have got a cease fire and extricated from East Pakistan without humiliation.

The main responsibility of poor planning naturally falls on shoulders of its commander i.e. so called Tiger Niazi, people have called him to be a company commander in general's shoes. he was more busy on defending every inch of ground than realizing that neither he has the werewithal nor the forces for any such embarkment. he never appreciated the Indian plans and therefore could not effectively reply to the Indian Para Drop near Dacca and simply lost his nerve and asked the premission to surrender, otherwise Pakistan has contained delayed or contained three major Indian offensives. Also it took a lot of time for HQ eastern command to convince the fighting formations to surrender. This is a classic surrender in which the forces were fighting though retreating and might have achieved a cease fire and extrication with honour in due course of time but the comand HQ was eager to surrender as they never appreciated that Indians would embark on such a big para drop and their own lives got threatened due to possible artillery shelling. This might seem to be to much a generalization but the fact is that it is the commander's neck which comes under the sword and rightly so he deserved that.
