First the elected parliament validated Emergency rule, now the Supreme Court has done the same.
Pakistan’s Supreme Court upholds emergency rule
Pakistan’s Supreme Court on Friday said in a ruling that it upholds the emergency and the Provisional Constitutional Order promulgated by President Pervez Musharraf on Nov. 3, local TV channel DAWN NEWS reported. The constitution of Pakistan should be restored as soon as the situation improves in the country, the Supreme Court said.
Watch the same people will use this kangaroo courts decision to justify dictators actions in the future. I think his majesty king Mushrraf wrote tthis and send to his lota justices to read it out. Job well done. If you can’t buy justice just buy a judge.
SC declares emergency, PCO valid

ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court has declared the enforcement of PCO and emergency valid.
SC larger Bench headed by the Chief Justice Mr. Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar in its short order issued here today said that the situation in the country was horrific—suicide bombings were taking place and the security forces were being targeted especially, the in the tribal areas, where the situation was highly critical besides over 150 persons were killed in an attack on the People’s Party rally, while the executive was left paralyzed by the conduct of some of the members of the superior court.
In such circumstances, SC short order said that the extra-constitutional measures had become imperative and, therefore, the SC deemed valid Army Chief’s all those measures taken after November 3 besides validating the process of taking oath under PCO, while the order also said that the Judges not taking oath under PCO ceased to remain on their posts.
The order further said that the constitution be restored with the improvement in situation and the Court would have the right to review the situation any time.
Alhamdulilallah. God Bless the EX CJ for taking the oath under the PCO and rubber stamping President Musharaf’s rule.
Pakistanis will always be grateful to the EX CJ for bestowing President Musharaf on the nation, without whom Pakistan would not have seen the unprcedented growth that it has witnessed over the past 8 years. :k:
Pakistanis will also be grateful for the unprecedented growth in corrupt people in the cabinet who had billions of their ill gotten wealth pardoned in order for our beloved Kim to hold on to his kursi. :k:
aalsi bhai so you are agreeing that Mush’s rule is illegal if you are questioning CJ’s rubber stamping. Yes CJ was wrong but it is good to see that at last you are admitting that the dictator’s rule is illegal. Be careful, what next, you will agree that he is human and can make mistake. Tsk, Tsk what is the world coming to when a bigger supporter of Mush than Mush himself is beginning to agree that he is human.
Daleel bhai, I along with 160 million Pakistani people (about 99%) am grateful to the EX CJ for rubber stamping President Musharaf’s rule. May God Bless the EX CJ for allowing Presdient Musharaf, the greatest Pakistani leader since Quaid-e-Azam, to lead Pakistan to Unprecdented Growth and bestowing Free Judiciary and Free Media in Pakistan. :k:
God Bless the EX CJ. God Bless President Musharaf. Long may he continue.
As I said elsewhere Chief Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar and his fellow judges have followed the great example adhered to by ex-CJ Iftikhar, i.e. that of making everything technically extra-constitutional, perfectly constitutional. :k:
