We begin with Balochistan. Can it be carved out of Pakistan? No I do not think so. There are two major stakeholders in this case - Iran and the pushtoons of the Northern Balouchistan. The balouch would never be able to win the battle for Quetta. By doing all these sorts of anti state activities, they are doing harm to their own community.

MQM? No! It was and it will never be a threat to Pakistan's security. However it has damaged its own community more than anyone else.

Even during the 1991-1997 disturbances when we heard of the name Jinnahpur, it was not going to damage Pakistan. Reasons:
It did not have any popular support from its community for any such move. And they never declared it openly that they were struggling for any independence.
Their people were spread all over Sindh ( although majority in KHI and HYD).
Other communities living in Karachi and the Sindhi people will never let this happen.

Sindhi separatists! No! For the similar reasons I have mentioned for MQM. The only possiblity is that if they combine with MQM, then there could be a serious threat.
But everyone knows what happened with their alliance with Sindhi nationalists.

NWFP: There are so many stakeholders here. The hazaras and the chitralies. And then there has never been a serious movment for any independent state of pushtoons. Beside as they say there are more pushtoons in Karachi than they are in Peshawar, they will never like to travel back to their own cities on a passport.
