Pakistan's secret dirty war

Re: Pakistan's secret dirty war

Absolutely, But with western and some domestic media foaming at mouth especially w.r.t. Pak its looks like sky is falling.

Re: Pakistan's secret dirty war

Sky is actually falling.
Today a blast on Railway line at Dera Allah Yar.
There was firing also on Quetta Express going to Lahore.
5 compartments of the train went of the track.
Many of this sort are happening daily.
End of injustice ,End of corruption is requirement of the day.
Otherwise Sky will fall.

Re: Pakistan's secret dirty war

You are a PPP supporter you are the last person to lecture people about corruption and injustice. Your beloved Shaheed was busy buying properties abroad o public funds whilst vast majority of her voters were living hand to mouth. When you support and vote for corrupt people that hlier than thou atttude does not wash here.

Re: Pakistan's secret dirty war

Kaon hay jis nay may naheen chakhi
kaon jhooti qasam uthata hay
Mekaday say jo bach nikalta hay
Teri aankhon main doob jata hay
کون ہے جس نے مے نہیں چکھی
کون جھوٹی قسم اٹھاتا ہے
میکدے سے جو بچ نکلتا ہے
تیری آنکھوں میں ڈوب جاتا ہے
You always talk about corruption of PPP.
I don;t say they are angel and now a days we are dealing with worst of PPP but others are more bad. Not even bad but worst as Munafiqs.
Just as a common sense you talk about 45% of Pakist budget spent by civilians,You never see about the rest and more ever most of the age of Pakistan was under their kind control not civilians.
When I talk about corruption or injustice I mean injustice and corruption of all including PPP.
Question of buying property by Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, I don't know about her money but know that father of her grand father was a rich landlord. Her grand father was a rich and active person as Dewan (Prime Minister) of Juna Garh State. You knew her father well. They were not Kamee or panahgir.
Topic is very serious and I am asking all to end now.
I knew ,Nobody will hear but we should try at least.

Re: Pakistan's secret dirty war

I was in Quetta for a few days in early February. I travelled by road from Karachi. There were a couple of Punjabis on the bus and wehn we stopped at Kalat for a break none of the locals said anything. Just after Mastung there were 2 army check points. They had a good look on the bus but no dodgy people except an Iranian whose visa had expired.

Once in Quetta I was nervous as I heard many negative stories. I did not venture out after 10pm. I wore just shalwar kameez. I noticed some Punjabis were still around. I met a Seraiki student who was from DG Khan and he mentionned how it had got worse. Some aloch considered him a Punjabi whilst others saw him as a Baloch even though he was not of Baloch origin.

The number of attacks on Pashtun has also grown. Not just on Pashtuns but on the Hazara aka Changezi community. Pashtuns had been killed in some of the baloch areas. The south side of Quetta is more Baloch and we took a trip to the notorious Saryab Road to meet a friend. There have been many attacks on non-Baloch people there - even Baloch who do not agree with the separatists have been attacked. The Hazaras or Changezis as they are known in Pakistan are Shia but the attacks are not just sectarian - some of the attacks are by Baloch separatists who consider Changezis more pro-Pakistan and many work in Government jobs. The Baloch have no problem with religion - Sunni Baloch share land and live peacefully with Zikris a sect which would be hated outside of the Baloch areas.

A friend of mine who is a left-wing Pashtun nationalist from Quetta blames agencies for a lot of what is happening. He says the agencies ar trying to create conflict - by agencies he meant the ISI etc. He is anti-Pakistan and has a very biased view of how things operate but there could be some truth in what he said. The attacks on Pashtuns and the unsettled atmosphere have made them wary and slowly they are getting fed up of what is happening. Peoples incomes have suffered as Quetta once had a tourist economy which has almost vanished. Less people are visiting so less money is coming in. Installations are regularly attacked. People may go wthout gas, electricty etc for days. The night bus from Karachi to Quetta is often stopped and looted.

The only place which is peaceful now is Gwadar within the Baloch areas of Balochistan. The Mekran and Las Bela side as a whole are quite peaceful but all other aeas are out of bound unless you are with a local person 24/7. Even that does not gaurantee safety anymore. Like the Pakistani Taliban, the Baloch insurgents have become more extreme how they attack. I did meet pro-pakistani Baloch and thse that were willing to accept Pakistan if there was more equality. We cannot blame the Baloch for being angry - would we live in a house where some got greater portion than the others?

It is hard to say who is involved in these unlawful killings - I daresay the army is doing some and the Baloch extremists too. A lot of peopl are confused - some blame outside interference whilst others blame the government and army. I do not see any light at the end of the tunnel. I think the Baloch are too far gone to be reconciled.

Re: Pakistan's secret dirty war

I noticed during this cricket tournament how their was a lot of unity. There was no sectarian divide or political affiliation. People from every corner were saying Pakistan first! and all duas for the team. How quickly, it will be back to the old ways again.

Re: Pakistan's secret dirty war

Says it all. It's western media's war on Pakistan. We should get used to it.
I don't know about uk and other countries, but here in the Netherlands I notice sometimes hatred against Pakistan and Pakistanis. Probably because of dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan.

Exactly! What hurts me the most is that Pakistani people needs cricket to unify Pakistan. :(

Re: Pakistan’s secret dirty war

We are at the stage where we are in need of any thing.
Doobtay ko tinkay ka saharah.
ڈوبتے کو تنکے کا سہارا
Baluch can live with Pakistan but if we allow them to live.
I have edited this for news of today.
Please some one translate it for those who can not read Urdu.

Re: Pakistan's secret dirty war

Why all become silent on this issue.
Are you all waiting for another mishap.
At least we can send a message to our Baluchs that we are with them.
Although we are helpless but we feel pain on what happening with you.

Re: Pakistan's secret dirty war

Forget what has happened in the past but look what is happening now. We have an elected Government and they are supposed to be the best for the Baloch. If they cant handle the situation and want to change the situation for the better then they have to take drastic steps. We can blame the army all we want but they are not the elected government. It is the government that must press for change.

Re: Pakistan's secret dirty war

The Aghaz-e-haqooq-e-Balochistan package was good read, the Baloch leaders and people at that time said if implemented it can help in reconciliation... but the corrupt govt of center and province didn't acted on its own program and now any statement from the federal govt is not being trusted... lot to blame on the current govt which started well but later used its start for political measures only....

I say, hang mushy for killing Bugti... but the Zardari is reluctant to arrest him for the killing of Benazir let alone arresting him for somebody he is not related to.... we need a sincere govt in the center to control things in Balochistan and rest of the country...

Re: Pakistan's secret dirty war

When the powers that be in Pakistan are content to let the majority of Pakistanis live without even the most basic necessities, education, health, clean drinking water, food security, safety from terrorists, etc, then what hope is there that they will ever acquiece to the demands of Baloch wanting their own rights?

Its easier to beat people into the ground then to compromise with them, expecially when they are poor.

The problem here is no different from the problem that plagues the rest of the country. The affluent and powerful of Pakistan prefer things the way they are, and will crush anyone who chooses to challenge the status quo.

Re: Pakistan's secret dirty war

Every one telling everyone who is ruling. Who is on control. Forget politicians.
They can not be so brave after seeing a list of those who tried.
I include N$ in that list too but he survived only due to being from Lahore.
I always look for something better from you.
Don't praise Bhuttos but try to point out the cruel.
I asked for a message of love to Baloch brothers.

Re: Pakistan's secret dirty war

My my so much love for poor Baloch brothers, my heart is bleeding and the sky is falling!!!!
