Contagious what? Would you please name a single place where protests were staged for Pakistan or Pakistani Muslims? Why it always have to be Pakistan to be the torcebearer of the cause of Ummah? How many Muslim countries you know who raised their voices for the Muslims of Kashmir? We have already suffered enough for owning everything Muslims in this world. Pakistan must fix its own issue and take care of its own people, and that's it.

How many protests for Karachi factory fire catastrophy? Perhaps victims of such incidents are not Muslims or Pakistanis.
What would protesting agains the film and burning our own house achieve? If we were a strong enough nation that USA would actually listen to us, then perhaps it makes a little sense!

People have a right to protest but any demonstration or reaction should be civilised and non-violent (example of Taif etc.)
Killing innocent people (Pakistanis or foreigners residing in Pakistan) or burning/vandalizing state or peoples’ property (like KFC etc.) is not a sane response and should be condemned

This is one of the better posts that I have read in a long time. Prophet(PBUH) is much greater than these low life individuals who want to make a mockery of the teachings. Why not bring out a documentary negates these kind of false stories. People would be impressed and silence the critics. True there might be some idiots who still preach hate. It is just wise to ignore these idiots and move on in life.

Around 7 million Kashmiri Muslims have never been considered as an Ummah issue, they have always been only a Pakistani problem. This is something that contrasts sharply with Pakistan's stand over Palestine and GCC's stand over Kashmir. For Pakistan, the "thekedari of Kashmir" is both Muslim and political. It still remains an unfinished partition proceedure.

If you are capable of thekaydar, then other countries look towards you themselves, with examples like China and Turkey. Pakistan wanted to "mediate" in the israel-palestine issue some years back and the saudis laughed pakistan out of the room!
This is the crux of the problem with Pakistan and I think desis: not enough substance but too much BAKWAAS. Look at Pakistan where talk shows are extremely popular than anything else on TV. What does that tell you about the state of country?
