Pakistan's Progress

  1. That is what i am saying, but obviously being a non-PTI, it won’t be listened by the PTIans

  2. I think that is strong word!!! i would rather say, we didn’t progressed to our potential but won’t say we have regressed in any way…

Re: Election predictions 2013

^ yes progressed in loadshedding, loans, crime, terrorism and lose of control over the country. If that's progress may Allah save even our enemies.

Re: Election predictions 2013

Its a shame you only picked these things!!! ,

I would say we have progressed in other things as well!!! but i don't think that you are even ready to take part in that discussion!!! so let it go!!!

Re: Election predictions 2013

You tell me the progression made? In 1999 when Musharraf took over the country it had almost defaulted, economy somewhat stabilized during Musharrafs regime (I will not touch the war on terror or balochistan war here), and now this government has taken the economy to imminent collapse. The country now is surviving on handouts and bail outs from international monetary institutions, from next year the government will have to start repaying the hefty loans they have borrowed during this tenure (I think they have to return 4 billion dollars next year), about 4 billion dollars are pending liabilities for circular debt, frequent electricity closures are shutting down industries. The country was very stable till the mid 80s after that you can see any department there is a steady decline, if some one can just halt this decline for a few years I think that will be an achievement.

Re: Election predictions 2013

Like i said in my earlier post, if you want to turn a blind eye to it then no body can tell you what progress Pakistan had made.... so continue with it!

Re: Election predictions 2013

Pakistan's progress is another topic and I will move the relevant posts to another thread.

Re: Pakistan's Progress

hanibal, IMO Pakistan has progressed but at an individualistic level and not as a nation and certainly not at a government level. Only time our nation has even looked like progressing as a nation was under Musharraf's era.

We hear of individual progress and heroics and we think we are progressing. That is not true.. They make us feel proud but sadly government does not utilize these heroics to synergize any field.

Re: Pakistan's Progress

^^ How you measure it??

Did we have Independent SC in 1985? we do have it now! I don't think so i have to write thing after giving this example!!! but if you and others still see the free judiciary as the sign of regression then let me know, i will write more ( dont think that will have any impact though)
