Pakistan's PM backs Turkey operation

What is going on in Syria? Turkish are bombing Syrian border towns killing tons of Muslims and created a living hell there. Thousands and thousands of Muslims are forced to leave their homes to become refugees. Where are those pakis who create hue and cry on Israel killing Palestinians and Indians killing Kashmiris? Where is Jamat-e-Harami? Pakistan’s discriminatory foreign policy will adversely affect Kashmir dispute, a totally failed foreign policy.

Pakistan’s PM backs Turkey operation
Imran Khan, Pakistan’s prime minister, has offered rare backing for Turkey’s offensive in Syria.

A Pakistani government statement said Khan called Erdogan to express “support and solidarity”. He told the Turkish president that “Pakistan fully understands Turkey’s concerns relating to terrorism” as it has lost 40,000 people in acts of terrorism in recent years.

Khan said he was praying that “Turkey’s efforts for enhanced security, regional stability and peaceful resolution of the Syrian situation are fully successful”.

Erdogan is due to visit Pakistan later this month. More than 70,000 people displaced in northeast Syria: WFP
The World Food Programme (WFP) said that more than 70,000 people have already fled the escalating violence since Turkey launched its military operation into northern Syria on Wednesday.

The mass displacement occurred in the Al-Hasakah and Al-Raqqa provinces, a spokesman for the United Nations’ agency said in Geneva.

He reminded the warring parties that the UN requires access to 650,000 people in northeast Syria who rely on food aid.

If it’s about religion, Turkey is more islamic than the Kurdish militias who happen to be communist influenced, so it’d make sense for a Muslim country like Pakistan to support Turkey here.

Also supporting Kurdish separatism openly wouldn’t please the Iraqis, Syrians and Iranians either - so Pakistan would just be making enemies out of 4 large Muslim countries.

I believe PK takes this issue as the attack by our army on wazirstan. . Thouygh Imran was critical to that operation. But now has no other option…

I had an interesting incident. Once in a town of Netherland , I went to a kebab shop . The guy looked very much like turkish. N I started usual Turky Pk bhai bhai. That guy erupted saying , I hate turkey and I m curd not a turkish… I escaped from the shop

Erdogon is another Saddam Hussain in the making. Though he is hoping to keep ruling like Bashar but that wont happen.

There is a reason why US withdrew its forces quitely right now. Its the exact same scenario as Iran-Iraq war

Think of Turkish point of view..Turkey lost about 40000 people due to terrorism perpetrated by PKK and YPG. In addition to terrorism, Kurds have been threatening territorial integrity of not only Turkey but Syria and Iraq as well.
And all that in addition to having influx of refugees which Turkey is hosting.

When i was in Turkey few months ago, I saw many Syrian refugees working hard in small shops. Spoke to couple of them..they all say ..they are very thankful for Turkey and have no complaints.. but wish to go back to their homeland.

Yes w have seen videos of refugees in Turkey picking food from garbage bins on roads.

If Kurds in Syria were good, Turkey wouldnt have to host so many refugees. Currently, atleast kurds would not go for deal with Syrian army against Turkey.

Trump Abandoned the Kurds: Here's What Has Happened Since Here’s What Has Happened in Syria in the Week Since Trump Abandoned the Kurds ISIS, Russia, Iran, Syria, and Turkey are happy. America’s allies are not

As expected, President Trump’s decision to pull U.S. troops away from the Syria-Turkey border, effectively endorsing a Turkish assault on the U.S.-allied Kurds occupying northern Syria, has been a disaster. Trump made the call last Sunday after a phone call with Turkish President Recep Erdoğan, and without consulting the Pentagon or Congress. Less than a week later, Trump ordered the removal all U.S. troops from the region, further endangering the Kurdish people, strengthening ISIS, and ceding influence to some of America’s chief adversaries. In return, the U.S. has, to date, received nothing.

Here’s what else Trump has wrought:

130,000 Kurds have been forced to flee their homes, hundreds have died
The United Nations announced on Sunday that 130,000 Kurds have evacuated their homes as a result of the invasion, nothing that the number stands to rise as Turkey continues its assault. According to CBS News, an independent war-monitoring group in the U.K. found that as of Monday 60 civilians and more than 200 fighters (121 SDF members and 86 pro-turkey militants) have been killed as a result of the offensive.

Its so ironic I was listening Turkish govt’s statement on this today and its exactly identical to what

  • Bashar gave during massacre of syrians
  • Israel says everytime it launches attacks on Palestinians
  • India when it imposed curfew in Kashmir 60+ days back
  • Even what myanmir army said against rohingyans
  • Saudian narration of their attack on yemen
  • What US said while invading Iraq, Afghanistan etc.

They all are same. All war-mongers. Nothing else. SMH

The difference is, West is actually taking some steps against Turkey while remaining silent on ruthless actions by Israel, India, Saudis and US.
Trukey is fighting this war on their own border while Saudis and Iran making other countries their battle field.
Infact West has been supporting these big guys.
EU seems ok with war fueling actions by Iran in the gulf.

POTUS has expressed his approval of Turkey.

Turkiye’s offensive was not done without the tacit approval of both the US and Russia

Russia and US might be playing with Kurds-ISIS but Turkey is not interested in influence hungry wars.
