Well This scenario gives Pakistan another chance even if thye lose to India (God Forbid thousand times). provided Australia beat England by big margin, and Pakistan beat Zim by even bigger margin. Well, just n case it comes to this. and I hope it doesnt come to this and Pakistan qualify on its own.

Somebody educate me here...
If India beats England/Pak beats India/Aus beats England , does it matter for Pak whether they win/lose against Zimbabwe.

Thanks in advance........

well yes is the answer coz in all likelyhood Zim will beat Holland. So if they beat Pakistan as well, they will get through (God Forbid)

So far things going to Pakistan's plan so far, India are on their way to win. But the bad thing about Indian victory is that it would take less pressure off them before the match against Pakistan and thier confidence would be sky high, which is a bad news. Thats why I wanted an England victory.
But there are still chances of England beating Australia then Pakistan are defintly out regardless of winning the next 2 matches.

Nopes, then it will come down to run rate and if Pakistan wins the next two games thier runrate defeintely will go to atleast 1.5 which i think wil be enough cz india and englands runrates will decrease obviusly if they lose thier respective matches against pakistan and australia.

so what gets counted first in the situation where there is a tie, head to head matchup or run rate first?

well these are the rules

--> The number of Wins each team has. THe team with the higher number of wins will get thrgouh. (though in this case, ervry team will have same number of wins)

--> Head to Head result between the teams in contention. (which will also be nullified as 3 teams have lost to one and won agaisnt other)

--> Net Runrate

--> Toss

What if England and Pakistan end up with same number of points, wouldn't England get the go to super 6s because England won the match between the 2 in head to head competitions.
I maybe wrong, but doesn't head to head comes before the net run rate.

there are two scenarios. England Pakistan and India all end up on 16.
OR England Pakistan Zim all end up on 12 points.points.

Well Head-to-Head Does count before Run Rate BUT in this case Head to Head doesnt matter coz every team lost to one but won against another. In first case Eng beats Pakistan, India Beats England and Pakistan beats India so headto head nullified. Similary in the second case when England beat Pakistan, Pakistan beat Zim, and England oviusly forfieted thier points against Zim. Only Net Runrate will count.

:mudhosh:

Let's assume that Aus beats England convincingly. Does that mean we still have to whoop Zimbabwe's butt by a big margin because they're NRR is a lot higher than ours?

Forget it. Australia are struggling now so the question's probably redundant.

yeah we will have to beat Zim by say some 70-80 runs to say the least.
