While we have explosive internal media who is engaged in daily politics shows without any difference of format! There is absolutely nil Pakistani media channel focusing international audience with Pakistani perspective and its values. PTV global is even inferior to what the broadcast inside Pakistan. Its largely left to mostly hostile media to project Pakistan in whatever light they wish!
If I take UK as an example, in the news or documentaries international channels, there are one or more English news channels by Russia, China, France, Japan, Iran, India, and even Nigeria! along with other international media like SKY, BBC, CNN, ALgazeera, etc
Isnt about time rather over due for Pakistan media outlets to look outward growth not just in URDU but in English only. Public or private there should be a voice, culture, views of 180 million people for world to listen!
I think if it come down to media, to explain things for the whole country then battle is already lost.

County need to be oozing with positive things.
If you think about it, most of the media specially western, is less like projecting their country
more like demonizing other countries.

The level of education has plummeted in recent years. I believe they can't find the manpower to run an English channel. It could be the result of brain drain also.
man power doesnt have to be local, look at aljazeera they lured best talent all from BBC, SKY and CNN. I would agree this will not be possible initially unless there is massive funding(but why PTV is wasting on useless PTV world?) but I dont think its the lack of English speakers to run such channels, there are more than enough people available but lack of vision and willingness of media houses and the Pakistan Government is the main reason.
Monk, i agree to some extent but some presence is much better than nothing at all. BAKWAAS is not everything but surely needed for perception building of the country.
