Pakistan's First Video Game!

http://www.commando4.com

The graphics are laughable in places, as is the theme song. Nonetheless, it costs Rs. 99 in Pakistan, which is a dirt cheap, and it’s a first venture. I hope this kick starts a video game industry in Pakistan.

Re: Pakistan's First Video Game!

Not too bad at all.....specially for 99 Rs.

Re: Pakistan’s First Video Game!

GO PAKI GO PAKI GO PAKI GOOOOOO :d:D:D :hehe:

Re: Pakistan's First Video Game!

How does charging for a game even work in Pakistan? Isn't software piracy really rampant there?

Re: Pakistan's First Video Game!

The game revolves around the story of a young boy Irfan Tariq who had to take up weapons in order to take revenge of his parents and sisters death by the Indian soldiers in Occupied Kashmir.

See stupid F***** BS like this tells kids it's ok to be terrorists and kill people. This is not the first time I am reading such BS. Pakistani magazines for kids are full of such nonsense stories that glorify revenge and terrorism.

Re: Pakistan’s First Video Game!

Let’s hope that it will start a promising venture in Pakistan, in the video gaming industry. “The laughable graphics” are bound to happen, as it is really the first attempt to fully step foot in this gigantic market, surrounded with billions of dollars. Hopefully, later down the road, we will see more enhanced graphics and set emotions. Who knows, maybe someone will forsee a day where a certain movie will hit the cinemas, followed by a complete package with the video game (reminiscent of “The Matrix”).

Although the side effects of video games are severe and, well, extreme, to say the least (as pointed out in this thread), it will be somewhat fitting for the development and growth of the economy, as well as generate the cash flow in the industry (Side Note: The “Side Effects of Video Games” is a totally different topic. Not sure if it is currently being discussed in any other subby, but if anyone would like to get started, the comments from fellow members would surely be interesting).

Nevertheless, thanks for bringing this to our attention. Nothing but prayers and good wishes for my own country and people!

(Can someone tell me the lyrics of the Urdu song in the game?)

I will throw myself off of a cliff (laughing, of course) if they are the following:

Aey raahe-haq kay shaheedon,
Wafaa ki tasweeron,
Tumhey watan ki hawaein salaam kehti hain.

Great Madam Noor Jahan! :biggthumb

Re: Pakistan’s First Video Game!

yaara very very very well said…but i think its not TeenDabbyWala fault check his nick teen-daddy-wala…

Re: Pakistan’s First Video Game!

Please do enlighten all of us in your kind, gentle and carefully constructed words as to what exactly is the relation between a person’s nickname and his point of views in which the post is produced. Obviously, a nick is just a tiny little piece of person’s nature, and it should not be brought up in such a way as to prove oneself that “I am right because of my thinking; you are flat-out wrong because of your nickname”. Whichever the name he/she chooses, quite frankly, that should not matter to anyone. If you don’t agree with someone’s comments regarding a specific topic/subject matter, please construct your post in such a way not to harm anyone’s feelings, as well as dealing with the discussion at hand. Let’s take my example here: If my nickname is such that I have chosen, that mustn’t (and shouldn’t) give anyone a right to point and laugh, just because I don’t agree with your comments (and/or vice versa). Please try and carefully analyze the post, and criticize the appropriate matter rather than petty things such as nicknames, locations, e.t.c. That has nothing to do with a person who articulates the posts in intellectual form.

On a sidenote, from my experience, I do have noted (other than this forum, of course - not pointed at you or anyone else), that generally, people who have been educated to highest degrees are least professional in their lives to other people in-between conversations, which is marked by their narrowness and lack of generosity, rather than folks who have little to no education. At least the latter group is informant of the substance and essence, i.e., etiquettes and means of communicating ethically and professionally, as opposed to the former, who are ignorant of the basic fundamentals and principles of knowledge.

==============================

Getting back on point, TeenDabbyWala mentioned regarding the software piracy. This trend needs to come to a complete halt, as it will go nowhere if people will start buying video games at half the price than advertised (or even download the entire game from the 'net).
