In 2000 exports were at a rock bottom low of $7 billion. Now they are $17 billion. In a couple of years they will have reached $25 billion. :k:

Federal Minister for Commerce, Humayun Akhtar Khan, has predicted that exports will reach US$25 billion by the fiscal year 2008. “The export target of $17 billion for this year required growth of 18 per cent whereas during the first five months, exports registered a growth of 22.9 per cent indicating that the export target would be surpassed this year too,” he told the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI).

by 2010 gwadar will be quite established with its industrial and export prossing zones developed and highway to china complete which should make exports hop to $50 billion for gwadar alone and then when gwadars fully established by 2015 the exports for only gwadar should jump to over £100 billion, but more then half will be west china exports.

KARACHI: Foreign exchange reserve has undergone downturn of US$ 126 million, sources informed.
According to the State Bank of Pakistan, in the week ending on January 7 the foreign exchange reserve has dipped by US$115.1 million.
Currently, SBP has US$ 9 billion and 60 million foreign exchange reserves. Whereas, the foreign exchange reserve being held by country’s other banks is up US$ 30 million to US$ 2 billion and 44 million.
