well im suppose to go to pakistan very soon i’A and a couple people we know have recently lost family members due to extremely weird behaviors in pakistan. One, for example lost her brother. A robber wanted his cell phone, he gave it to the robber and then started screaming for help, within minutes was killed. He was newly wed and everything! Another incident happen to a relative of my fiance, his cousin was stabbed 47 times and beaten up like theres no tomorrow. Moreover, my moms close friend was telling my mom that girls just randomly get kidnapped and never appear back home. Either they get raped and killed or are being used by some men somewhere.My question is, is the halat there really that bad. Should i not go at all. Everyones begging me not to go but i havent gone in such a long time id do anythign to go back and get all my wedding outfits myself.
Your advices are greatly appriciated.

You are quite right.These all circumstanses are only due to corruptuon and nobody is ready to even talk about corruption.Every one** Big** is either involved or supporting corruption.I am a living example.After years of struggle I am fourced to beant down against Mafias.I am surprised what we are preparing for our comming genration.

Secondly, the foolish after giving mobile was shouting for help.If he was so brave ,then he shouldnt give his mobile, after giving few thousands Rs mobile ,whast the logic of shouting .His foolishness became his death messenger ?
Thirdly , rape rate in Mimai or US is far graeter than Pakistan ,check any authentic source
fourthly, girls everywhere go ,schools and colleges ,bazars, without any fear or hesitation but they are not sexually harrased to that extent in US as in Pakistan.Thats another case ,such things are so common in States and treated as life style so no one report them in Police station etc.

I do not live in USA nor I am personally affected by deterioration in USA's economy. Its just that we need to take care of our own home and not hope for destruction of the 'kafir economies'. **As for halat in Pakistan,*

Your concerns are valid and I'm not surprised about what you are hearing from your friends and relatives. I haven't been to Pakistan in over a decade but I know that to some extent that life in Pakistan is getting worst day by day. I am in constant touch bases with my friends and relatives (phone, e-mail, facebook) - and I can just tell how bad the condition is. I wouldn't even survived a day in Pakistan as power outage for every any other hour is a norm there.

^^ Almost every moderate home is with UPS so its ridiculous that power shortage is given significance.Life is getting worse in US as i hear on BBC everyday.Few days in LA , man killed his 6 family members due to financial crisis.2 million job cuts in just 3 months .So with your old ID , its still seems ridiculous that what conditions in Pakistan are becoming worse day by day !

Agreed. I dont know what ppl think about pakistan!....No country is saint, crime rates in western countries is same as in pakistan...apart from the bombing thing ofcourse which i agree on. But you never know anything can happen anywhere!
And yes about the economy thing. I do agree with the last sentence, dont know much about US and but here in UK things are not looking good, pound is loosing its value day by day, ppl are getting axed after every minutes, companies are closing down, even bus drivers are loosing their jobs, fares are going up and TFL (Transport For London) is axing more staff when they suppose to be improving the services not worsening it. I dont think UK is going to recover neither will US i guess. These ppl just cant handle their economies..banks dont even know what hapeening with them.
Still UK nd US is better than pak right now....but in future who knows?

I think Obama's inauguration speech applies to us. We should withstand the problems coming to us whether we are in Pakistan or in countries that gave us shelter and good fortune. A couple of bad years and we think of getting away?

This is what you think mate, more than 2 millions (last time i checked) have lost their jobs, interest rate have dropped, business are going down. I for once dont think its going to recover in couple of years! I dont know much about US but as far as UK is concerned what can i say? I mean day by day its getting worse but lets just hope it recovers!
