Re: Pakistan's Brave Armed Forces..
In 1965, Pakistan was victorious. My chachu told me that Pakistani fighter jets shot down many Indian fighter planes in 1965. Infact, Pakistan captured a river or something from India as a result of 1965 war. .
Going by statistics alone, we shot down more Indian fighters than we lost. We destroyed more tanks than we lost. We captured more POW's than India. We killed more Indians than Indians killed Pakistani's. And at the end of it all, we captured a larger Indian territory than India held ours. So yeah on paper we won the war.
Re: Pakistan's Brave Armed Forces..
i think he's being sarcastic.
Re: Pakistan's Brave Armed Forces..
kewl FOL, would love to see the figures, just for reference.
That's the Pakistani version and I am sticking to it. :D

What did we capture from the Indians? What did they wrest from us? I mean, I am a small town boy but you must be knowing the "filtered" facts from high ranking officials living in the capital? Care to share with us?
Re: Pakistan's Brave Armed Forces..
wikipedia is not considered an authentic link. Did you not hear the news recently how CIA and other agencies were found filling up these Wiki pages with propoganda. A lot of Indians who are not receiving calls in their call centers anymore start filling up these pages against Pakistan.
did Pakistan give out any critical analysis of 65 or 71 or kargil. so where do u think we are to find the facts.. without facts u cannot even beat the indian propaganda..
Re: Pakistan’s Brave Armed Forces..

Re: Pakistan's Brave Armed Forces..
1965 war...
This is the version i have heard and looks balanced also. But irrespective of whatever it is, pakistan could not achieve its objective of capturing any territory due to numerical superiority of india.
Re: Pakistan's Brave Armed Forces..
Actually around 3-4 years I got hold of the declassified Indian Military report on the 1965 war. If you guys look up on GS I posted aspects of the report and copy and pasted some other stuff.
1965 - is an official victory for the Pakistani Armed Forces. Not because I say it is, because the Indian Military report says it is.
Re: Pakistan's Brave Armed Forces..
I think truth is somewhere in between. The fact is Pakistan had initial success in '65 war mainly b/c of surprised attacks on Indian positions, and Ayoub (another Pakistani tin pot) thought that fighting will be confined to Kashmir region leaving vast areas of Punjab and East Pakistan undefended. Most of the fighting was in Punjab and Indians almost captured Lahore. '71 war was total loss, almost 100000 solders were captured by Indians and Bengalis.

Yea, the river and the water buffalo (bahans) that was swimming the rive. :)

An excellent book on the subject by an Indian veteran general of 1965 war labels it as ** "catlogue of lost victories" ** and official indian report that was suppressed for obvious reasons....

What's the jihadi version? 10 jihadis armed with bow and arrows from tribal areas stopped Pakistan from losing I guess?
