pakistan's bowling attack..

does seem a little thin.. in the fast bowling department. Sami and Naveed are hopelessly out of their depths though I thought Razzaq and Shoaib were very impressive.

on the other hand i thought afridi was phenomenal. he was bowling very intelligently, picking up two well set batsmen and bowling at an average of 2.2 for ten overs. he might have been overshadowed by the performance of our batsmen, but im not sure if he was any less crucial in keeping the indians under 300 runs.

lekin Sami ka kia karein :bummer:

Go easy on them. This is a VERY batting pitch, there was not assitance to the fast bowlers at all. You should expect that they will get hit a bit.

i know.. im not one to judge on one performance and have been a supporter of shoabie all the way. lekin this guy's average is 31 for the past year, with a best performance of 2/16.. 4 wickets in the last 5 matches.

dunno.. he just seems to be a one trick pony.

well guys, lets not say that we are the best bowling attack in the world...shoaib and sami are talented bowlers but they dont know how to convert their talents into lethal weapons (like the 2 W's)..

anyways, as i was saying that they are talented, but they also need to have an axe hanging on their heads all the time saying that if u dont perform, u are out of the team, and then we will see some real performances from these guys...and then we will see sami taking 20 wickets in 5 matches...

Re: pakistan’s bowling attack..

i belive it was all him who controlled runs…if he had also bowled poorly like others…the game would have turned out DIFFERENTLY!!! i mean india could have taken it…

as u r saying that we cant say pak has the best bowling attack...we are the 2nd best atleast.....we are in fact equal to australia....now a days....its just that bowlers don't get much support from the pitch.....i belive kaneria is a bowler like murali who can get so much out of nothing.....

moved to jokes forum......

Austrailia's tour might be Sami's last chance to prove himself. I see him droped if he didn't get out of his saturated bowling mind soon. And I am not just saying it based on last match but the whole season since July, he has been very ordinary. Its not that he is getting hit by good batsmen but the bad thing is that he is not bowling smartly. He doesn't seem to disturb any batsman. Instead we see him bowling flat and that too without any strategy for the openent batsman knowing his weaknesses. This is very unprofessional for a bowler who had bowled along with pace idols like Wasim and Waqar and who have been accompanying Akhtar for a long time. I see his career in danger, that too because we have other prospects in line as well. For threatening Akhtar alone is enough I guess. So basically we need intelligent bowlers (may be not as fast as Sami) to do consistant damage to the other sides. With Umar(next year) and Shabbir back and others like Riaz, Rauf, Rao and Khalil chacha, Sami will struggle to keep his place safe.

i can't believe you guys claiming paksitan's bowling attack as even second best, sami does not have a good test record, shoaib and kaneria are the two only genuine test bowlers in our team right now, with shabbir and gull gettin fit it would be a very reasonable attack ........ but right now there is no hope, we cud not even win a series in australia with wasim waqar shoaib saeed inzi and yoy playin togather in a team, i dont see them doin any good with this young team it wud be a miracle if they draw some how ...........

yea i agree khumin. i gotta feeling we gonna get whooped badly by australia

plz ...there is no way we are close to the Aussie bowling attack

Yes we ARE!

only thing missing out is the discipline of bowling and I have seen an improvement since Chacha Woolmer become incharge..

and Yes Kangroos are not invincible!

all you need is a kool head, and they will have dominos effect

i just wish it was true, none of our bowlers can swing the ball to trouble the best in the world, we do have raw pace in sami and a hint of something in naved ul hassan, shoaib is definitly world class and kaneria pritty good as well but yet to see him play in australia ........... but without a question we are makin progress just not there yet, then again in cricket you neva know we are just talkin the odds .............

Pak has always had the gerat fast bowlers and I am sure once Sami and Akhtar go down someone new will come.
