Pakistan is not a bad country. I think as people we have overcome many adversaries and trouble times. We have done a lot better considering the obstacles we have faced from start.
Recent events have been appalling on Pakistan. The only positive thing I can think of is that we desperately need to have conversation as Pakistanis. We have lived most of our history relating and loyal to parties, affiliations and ethnic groups. This void has created a mess for all of us. We do not know each other, how we live and understand. This void has put us on a defensive mode where we are defending ills of some. Its time we grow out of it. This anger and hate has confined us in our own homes. We need to trust each other as Pakistanis. Its time we start answering question rather asking.
Trust is no where. We believe and resemble each other with ethnicity, social and political affiliation. We rely on each other as sub-Pakistanis not Pakistanis. We need to trust each other with our lives, property and security. The sooner we start a dialogue, the better because of this void people support and hold on to bad apples. They freeze, do not speak and stop from taking any action because they know the other side is not on their side. We need a dialogue. I know many would argue, why not as Muslims? There should be but with recent situation in hand, our country is in jeopardy rather religion. I am sure many ethnic groups in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad do get together and celebrate all the rituals.
