New Zealand Board President’s XI 317 for 4 (Seifert 115, Nicholls 104) beat Pakistanis 313 (Misbah 107, Umar Akmal 68, Van Beek 2-53) by six wickets*
Scorecard
Pakistani bowlers failed to defend a total of 313 as centuries from Henry Nicholls and Tim Seifert led the New Zealand Board President’s XI to a six-wicket victory in the tour game in Lincoln.
Pakistanis, who opted to bat, had suffered a shaky start as Mohammad Hafeez and Younis Khan were out for 2 and 1 respectively, within the first three overs. After Shehzad failed to convert his start of 37, and Sohaib Maqsood was out cheaply, Misbah-ul-Haq and Umar Akmal led the side’s recovery with a 105-run partnership for the fifth wicket. Akmal chipped in with 68 off 59 balls, including ten fours. Quick wickets soon reduced them to 234 for 7 but Misbah and Wahab Riaz, who scored 30 off 21 balls, pushed the score to 313.
NZ Board President’s XI’s chase was set up by a 93-run partnership between openers Michael Pollard and Nicholls, and the latter built on that by adding another 85 runs with Siefert before his dismissal for 104. Nicholls’ 113-ball innings included 14 fours. Seifert then controlled the chase, notching up an unbeaten 115 off 89 deliveries to lead the side to a victory in the last over.

Re: Pakistanis lose after posting 313

Welp, all I wanted to hear before match against India.

Re: Pakistanis lose after posting 313

our main bowlers Irfan, Junaid and Yasir were not playing.

Re: Pakistanis lose after posting 313

that's bit of a relief to hear. i've heard that aamir might be getting unbanned. is there any chance that he'll be playing in WC?

Re: Pakistanis lose after posting 313

No chance of him playing in the world cup.

Re: Pakistanis lose after posting 313

How is Yasir our main bowler?

Re: Pakistanis lose after posting 313

in the absence of Ajmal he is, his performance against Aus and NZ was quite good. So how is he not one of our main bowlers, otherwise who else do you have as spinner apart form afridi.

Re: Pakistanis lose after posting 313

The three quickies if you can call them that in this match bowled at econ rate of Sohail 6.6, Ehsan 8.67 and Wahab 6.1

Re: Pakistanis lose after posting 313

Uncle he performed well but that was in Tests! Not ODI

And I think management will go with three fast bowlers, Afridi and a allrounder

Re: Pakistanis lose after posting 313

Poor start by Pakistan especially in bowling. New bowlers couldn't leave any good impact. Alarming situation for Coach Waqar

Re: Pakistanis lose after posting 313

In the Internet age, that the Pakistani team is still posting should be cause for concern, especially with the World Cup around the corner.

Re: Pakistanis lose after posting 313

What a stupid decision to not play your main bowlers, why would you not play them? Are they not fit ? Or they fear to go out, bowl and fail to get wickets and that thought is scary ??

Or will that excuse be used for WC matches when they lose, they'll be like oh we didn't get much bowling practice so we couldn't perform....we needed more match practice.

If they can't defend 313 properly, I don't see them performing much.

Why on earth is Hafeez still in the team ?? this dude just cannot bat under any pressure, has no performance, and can't face any bowlers. All he does is waste a wicket and put more pressure on the rest of the team. What an utter disgust his "batting" is going to be. I am telling you guys, this guy will not be able to do much this WC....he just can't bat.

Re: Pakistanis lose after posting 313

I just saw Misbah scored a century and Pakistan lost Lulz
