Maybe, but that would also mean that a good number of Hindus and Sikhs are also probably among their descendants.

Besides the Pakistani Muslims, Sikhs and Hindus only belonging to Pakistan region can claim to their heritage.

thats an unfair statement. Any country will attach great civilizations to itself. I mean something like this merits it. The only problem I have with it is the title, "Pakistanis", whihc I tought didn't make any sense, if it was in Present day Pakistan, then ok, but they stretched a little too much.

Once I was reading an article in which it was claimed that Pakistani troops fought against Greeks in Darius army (reference was to the Saka tribes mentioned by Herodotus). Now this seems strange to me.

Did Pakistan exist as a geoploitical, geocultural, geoethnic, and geocivilizational entity before partition? Please enlighten me on this!

Whoever that historian was, he/she seriously need a reality check. lol Saka tribes, pactyan and bactrians were according many ancient pashtuns. I cna't confirm it all, but I can for sure that Esepzyes and other tribes fought against him (ashvakayans ----> afghan, aspasios---> esepzye, etc). However thats off-topic, countries should ahev the right to claim ancietn civilzations, however saying they were pakistanis just doens't make sense, in my opinion. Were they in current day pakistan? yes!

There was no “Egypt”, “Iraq”, “India”, “Iran”, nor “Greece” before 1800-1900s AD either! Does that mean the history of present day Egyptians, Iraqis, Indians, Iranians, and Greeks does not date back to pre-1800/1900 AD? Of course not! Same thing applies to Pakistan!

So it is irrelevant if Indo-Scythians, Gandharans, Sapta Sindhvans, Harappans, Rig Vedic Aryans, etc. are called “ancient Pakistanis” as long as they belonged to the region of present-day Pakistan or/and present-day Pakistanis have ancestory derived from them. Afterall, it is not a crime to call Kemetians, Hyksos, etc. as “ancient Egyptians”… or Sumerians, Akkadians, Babylonians, etc. as “ancient Iraqis” … or Vedic Aryans, Mauryans, Guptas, etc. as “ancient Indians”… or Minoans, Mycenaeans, Dorians, etc. as “ancient Greeks” …

Sakas (Scythians) and Pahlavas (Parthians) who were renmants of ancient Aryan tribes… originally inhabited Central Asia and because of Turko-Hunnic pressures/invasions from their north… were forced to migrate/invade southern regions… stretching from present day Eastern Turkey to Northwest India. Ethnic groups throughout this region can claim their partial ancestry (more or less) from them.
