I wish there was some way to physically move the country of pakistan to europe or north america. I tell you it's so hard for me to tell a lily white european person from a pakistani because of the very very clear fact of course that pakistanis are whiter than most arabs. Just look at the skin color map people! With m2k a pakistani and his countless threads on his whiteness, this map proves it all for me. Holy God, I never met a guy who was so obsessed with his fairness....
its not being obsessed with fairness...

btw as far as fascination with fair complexion goes, we just have to look at bollywood to see how things are on your side of the border. the fascination exists on both sides and it has been there prior to british raj time.

believe me there is no jalna-ing here since I am in that fair skinned bunch but I would love to look like the dark beauty bipasha basu who is considered to be one of the most beautiful women in India and not kareena kapoor. Plus dusky skinned Rani's smile is to die for so actually in India a recent article showed that more women are buying creams that make a woman look younger rather than ones that make them fairer.

why does dusky skinned rani put three layers of plaster and paint on her face for movies..cuz thats what is expected and demanded, and while you have a few exceptions, teh vast majority of bollywood actresses are covered in dough for movies
I agree that there is amore of a trend in younger generation to embrace their desiness..but its still much smaller group than those buyign bleach, fiarness cremes and all that jazz.

that dough thing is called makeup and from lollywood to hollywood everybody is covered in war paint that is cause natural skin has ridges and uneven texture and will not come out nicely in camera. either way majority of actress are dark complexioned and are in the top cream of show business and that is even in modelling.
We indians did not drag ourselves into this topic please read the topic posts carefully the word indians was bought out by pakistanis themselves and bollywood was mentioned way before the the member sal35 made his post.
Mercenary i don't know how white u are or for that matter pakistanis but i was watching news on lal masjid and they showed the am junta and military forces some looked DRAVIDIAN!! most were dark skinned with long long noses. Greek itialians MY foot. Please take a trip to italy or greece first.
Sal35 indian cricket team is not just made of north indians!!! there are hordes of south indians and marathis and bengalis and they are of the same color as northies.. Indians are of varying shades of brown to black and then white. and so are pakistanis. My neighbours were south indians and pakistani punjabis in US and they looked same to me!!!..
Iam currently in Hyderabad in AP and these people here looked north indian to me! features are sharp and color is dark but they are plently of white skinned people and light brown.. The location is south but people look closer to north then to tamils for me..
there is a reason people of sub continent are called brown race not olive or yellow race cause we are BROWN!!.
Whether pakistanis are whiter than white or fairer than arabs i have realized that pakistanis feel inferior to arabs(please don't deny this) i worked in dubai and saw first hand how pakistanis fall all over arabs and persians while these fair skinned lebanese and others treated pakistanis badly ...

the original inhabitants
the aborigines and for north and south america, the native indians who lived there
the map is rigged. it doesn't make much sense. if its referring to the original inhabitants, then u should maybe read some south asian history & see how many times it has been invaded & how many foreign tribes have come & settled into the area (which makes up the majority of Pakistan).
The same goes for Arabia, which was part of the European empires or connected to Europe many more times than S.Asia, which means they are more likely to be more fair-skinned than us.
