Pakistani's are Jazbati....

A lot of people from other parts of South Asia think us Pakistani’s as Jazbati or too emotional. I personally do tend to get emotional on matter’s that deal with my country; but I’m wondering if this is true for the rest of the members of GS. Do any of you get emotional when dealing with an issue of Pakistan? And if this idea of being/getting emotional is true then is this a good characteristic of our people and will it allow our country to be successful in the future?

Re: Pakistani's are Jazbati....

Don't get the wrong meaning. They use this word "Jazbati" in order to psychologically manipulate. It is more like having emotional attachment. People who say Pakistanis are Jazbati, if you look at them, their attitude about their country and people, you'll find many things objectionable there. They are more like "Look at your benefit" thingy.

Jazbati hona is a different hing. They use this term to describe a behavior which stems from "Deep emotional attachment".

What we need to do, is to channel our love for Pakistan in the right way. I'd say, be Jazbati about Pakistan but use it as a push to benefit it in one way or the other.

If you are taking a stand for the propaganda against Pakistan, you are not to be called jazbati, you are doing the right thing. Don't get fooled by these people....

PLUS: Why you have a Hindoo name, "Anil"

**Lahore 981: getting a little Jazbati may be? :) **

or just curious?

Re: Pakistani's are Jazbati....

Immaturity and lack of professionalism is more like it. I think we are passionate nation like any other in the world but when it comes to application in the field, we act like kids and show no sense of professionalism. Have patience, show resolve and understand both sides of the picture. If you think your culture and point of view is right, prove with actions, examples and good argument rather than acting like a headless chicken running all over the place.

Re: Pakistani's are Jazbati....

No assumptions please.
I had a question, I asked.
Simple is that.

Re: Pakistani's are Jazbati....

Anil/Aneel and Anila/Aneela kind of common name amongst muslims in Karachi (my home city).

Re: Pakistani's are Jazbati....

^Sounds like President Musharaf, especially when speaking urdu.

Re: Pakistani's are Jazbati....

Okay, I confused it with Anil/Aneel Kapoor.
Sorry about that.

Re: Pakistani's are Jazbati....

Yes. we tend to be emotional in everything. In few things, it might be more than other nations such as family matters but when it comes to the country or sports etc, i guess everyone is.
Just sports, in US (statewide games) or in England (counties), people sometimes don't even like talking about the opponents. I remember, once said that who cares if Pittsburg Steelers loose (US football), and my friends didn't like it at all.
Thinking about the country, everyone is very emotional. Remember in US after Sep 11, people still have flags etc everywhere.
I know these are just 2 examples but generally speaking, people all over the world are emotional when it comes to their country.
I've noticed the exception with the religion though. We PK are more emotional than some other Muslim nations and than other non-muslim nations too.

Re: Pakistani's are Jazbati....

Well....Depends on what you call jazbaati and in what way you use it. I don't remember that I ever got jazbaati in my life except when once I ran out of pineapple juice:) . Just joking. If you mean jazbaati in way that your son/daughter is in critical condition in hospital, then I would say that yes, we pakistanis are jazbaati.

Re: Pakistani's are Jazbati....

Everyone gets emotional but other communities take it especially for pakistani's ... you've seen the reaction of losers on world cup football which is crearly showing their mentality ........
But for his motherland ever one gets emotional and its a common thing
