Re: Pakistanis and Ghee: The Eternal Love Story
If what you are saying is true, then indeed Punjab is not only exceeding farther than the other provinces in everything else, but now also in health care too.
Karachi always gets jipped. And interior sindh, all of NWFP, and Balochistan seems raped basically then by what you're saying is available in Punjab. Go figure. Damn punjabis run the government anyway.
Re: Pakistanis and Ghee: The Eternal Love Story
nah PCG - Health departments run by provincal governments not federal one! so its all depends what they do in their house, Punjab doesnt snatch it from them.
Re: Pakistanis and Ghee: The Eternal Love Story
the provincial govt gets its money partially at least from the nat'l govt right?
Re: Pakistanis and Ghee: The Eternal Love Story
yea some part of their income come from National govt, most part of it come from provincal taxes and departments.
National Finance Commission awards share from national treasury to all provinces according to the population. its upto provinces what they do and how they do it in their own provinces. everything shouldnt be slapped on , its punjabs fault.
roads and transport considered better in NWFP at one point. it was best cause it was managed better by them and same time Punjab failed to run it better and made huge losses and closed down that department altogether and now all run by private companies, much better.
the basic reason in Pak , system doesnt work but people only, when a good person incharge of a govt department, it suddenly start improving. now punjab ambulance works, God knows, will it continue to do so if some personality get transferred...

waise we never used ghee at home because my mom has high cholestrol and i cannot stand the smell of it.
Re: Pakistanis and Ghee: The Eternal Love Story
i would recommend EVERYONE to read the stuff at www.mercola.com...this guy is one of the most conservative doctors around but i just followed his advice for a week and noticed a BIG change in my health plus i lost about 5 pounds in two three weeks...... if possible u should order his book "total health".........or just type up anything like 'oil' 'dangers of sugar'
'saturated fats' blah blah blah.....
speaking of desi ghee......i think it has to do with the fact that the past generations were able to eat the ghee and burn it off through the lifestyle they led...even the women were active (chakkis peesna 'n all) ......my grandma' grew up on ghee and white bread and malai and she is mashallah very strong till today becuz she never sits on her butt, always doing something in the kitchen....lol on the other hand her daughter, my aunt, seems to have so many problems..headaches, backaches etc since shez such a lazy ass.........
so for the desi men today....who only go from home to their offices and sit on their butts ....u got to go to the gym ...same for the women...at least 30 mins a day...and cut down on stuff u think u cant burn off....start with sugar, sodas and stuff containing corn syrup.......and i'll bet anything that u will see a radical change....
Re: Pakistanis and Ghee: The Eternal Love Story
Going back to Ghee
For a while I taught asian ladies to "learn" to NOT use ghee in their cooking...it was a Government run scheme to help cut Blood pressure and heart probs in this community and to save the NHS alot of money
would like to write more but dont have time
