Indeed, we can’t rely on importing the talent we need anymore - not in a flat world where people can now innovate without having to emigrate. In Silicon Valley today, “B to B” and “B to C” stand for “back to Bangalore” and “back to China,” which is where a lot of our foreign talent is moving.

yeah i know what you mean. we try to get everyone stuff, but its hard especially when it comes to the little kids who fight over everything. everytime we go they usually end up taking our stuff too. i take some fake jewelry of mine to wear and they usually take all of it. and when i say no, they always say i can go back and buy more. just because you live in america doesnt mean money grows on trees.

Nobody likes to go to India. Most of the Indians that come here stay here and change their identity.
There is one thing I don’t like and understand about some of the guppies chatting over here. They would love to make fun of Pakistan and its poverty and at the same time will say that they are not Pakistani…even though some type of relationship is still present. No one knows their identity but, they will be present first to pigeon hole Pakistan and its poverty. One thing is for sure, the country that they live in like US or UK is surely responsible for the condition that Pakistan is in today. People of Pakistan are very hard working the kind of work that they put in over there with the condition no one over here for sure can do that. Also the students with student visa that come form there to big countries have first to face cultural shock, money and lot of other things in order and get good grades at the same time. It is not as easy as some people might think and still they are doing very well.

Now to answer your question, you are highly mistakened. if you are talking abt "doing well" then mind you it is pakistanis who hold higher paying jobs. yes they are less in numbers but they do not want to suck anything and everything which comes their way.they have a choice and they are selective.
... hindus/indians are cunningly manipulative. where a pakistani would still be trying to figure out why his/her boss is cross, an indian/hindu (along with his group) would have a plan ready to have that pakistani fired from his job. and bring another indian in his/her place and strengthen their group.
indians/hindus have unity whereever they go. regardless of the differences in their personal opinion, they unite to destroy the career of a person from any other race only bcz he/she is not an indian. this is why you would never find an indian working alone in a place. there would always be a "group" of indians. even if there is one, in no time there will be more. only one of them needs entry and then the place over flows with indians making the environment hazardous to health. and cz none of the other race is so cunning or closed minded to understand and recognise "the scheme", they let it happen.

pakistanis desire the well being of all the human races without discrimination hence would encourage and let rise in career anyone who deserves. nationality of a person means little to them cz they have a big heart. unlike hindus/indians who have love only for their own race. who would do anything to help a hindu/indian rise rather than any other race/nationality even if this means adopting the most stingy way any other human race knows of. they do not use that "sting" with another indian but people from other nations ESPECIALLY PAKISTANIS.
hindus/indians settle for a measely pay whereas a pakistani is a generous at heart for himself, family and friends. they have more needs, spend more and need a higher pay and would decline a job offer which an indian would happily accept even if this means making savings by cutting down on expense of soaps to take a bath with or buying new underwears.
indians/hindus have big jaws which only open wide (in smiles) when they are insulted in the worst manner by anyone in authority over them and heads which nod only in "yes" no matter what part ... they are slapped. even if this means staying awake for days at night developing an extremely clever plan on how to get rid of the one in authority ESPECIALLY if it is a pakistani. they are so good at it (manipulating) that their plan always works.
they can even forget the name of their father if it was needed to excel in a profession and leaving a pakistani behind who is not cheap enough to do the same by losing the values he/she was taught at home.
you know, i can go on and on and on..... dont you dare telling me this does not happen cz i am talking facts. real facts of life which i have seen in this 28+ years of age of mine in which 9 years were spent going through all the i have stated above and i have more to share.

Guys this thread is not about India or Indians. Why do we have to compare ourselves to Indians all the time? By proving that Indians are as screwed up as us wouldn't make an iota of difference.
Sara, as was being discussed before, NYC's Pakistani community has a unique problem due to living in closely nit community environment. I know Pakistani communities in Atlanta, Florida, New Orleans and cities like Denver where the picture is very different. Now Chicago having a big Pakistani neighbourhood might have similar issues as we see in NYC. Maybe.

five thousand years? I think you need a history lesson. Your ancestors in what is now Pakistan gave more to the world in terms of knowledge in than all our supposed ancestors from arabia did since the beginning of time.
I am going today to a career fair for South Asian kids in NYC. WE organized it because the mullahs in the mosques in queens can’t offer them guidance towards uplifting their lives and that of their families. They can only talk about why they are victims of the system. SO do something instead of worrying about whether son fo a bitch is a palatable term on Gupshup. You are more capable than that.

Actually many south indians have their fathers name in their names. So you must be mistaken. These are not facts you are esspousing, these are poor stereotypes resulting form a sense of frustration that is you. If you are not as talented as Indians in your field and are passed over for promotions etc..then it is up to you to figure out why you live sucha mediocre existence.

...most of the Pakistani do well in US and UK..they have good paying jobs. The Indians over here that are living are second or third generation they came before the Pakistanis, the first were the Chinese and Japanese..

yeah jackies the name of my cat. they have good paying jobs because they got a good education. i have heard of many stories of second generation pakistanis who are not getting a good education, and will not be able to get a good job. i think they were talking about it on some ary or geo show, i dont remember which one though.

from my own life’s experience. this is what I used to be and my dad always was. he always judge people based on their capabilities and not nationality. and couple of other pakistanis with an authority to whom nationality did not matter. but i observed the opposite with those indians in authority!!!

Eventhough the purpose of yur topic is different, but this is what i think. First of all most of the Indians that come to US come on work visa (whether be computers or any other positions). On the other hand most of Pakistanis in US came here either illegal and later became legal, lottery visa or sponsorship.
As far as being poor is concerned, unlike hindus, muslims really dont worship money. I work with filthy rich Indian doctors and trust me, most of them are very very cheap. I know these two brothers who are Gastroenterologists and their whole family is full of doctors. They are both in their 60's, but still work 9-10 hours in the hospital and then go to clinic every day for 5-6 hours. How much money do they want? God knows.
In UK most of the Pakistanis went there during the british times when they were given british citizenship in exchange of land for the dam. They were all illetrate villagers.
As far as medicine is concerned, from what i learned just last year there were about 2200 doctors that came from India and about 800 doctors that came from Pakistan. So the ratio is about 3:1 which considering that Indian population is about 8 times more than Pakistan is not bad at all.
Alot also depends on the area you are in also. In NY and Chicago you will find mostly uneducated Pakistanis. Same is for Bengalis who are mostly uneducated that live in NY. Things are different in other areas.

danday!!! you're right, i never travelled in taxis. the only time i travelled was when this indian was driving it and i gave him double the charge i had on me cz i felt bad for taking back my change. i let him keep all. he was happy.
secondly, you are comparing a pakistani guy who travelled by taxi and stinks to an indian guy who works in a multinational bank and stinks? how can that happen? cz the indian has more education?
sorry, vineshvk. i was not like this at all and now that i am. i feel i should have been like this always so that i could have shown those indians their real place, shown them where they belong. those indians who were more than one. in a large group. i was the only girl. and they harrassed me. did they think i would stay a little girl forever? be ashamed of being a pakistani? i would teach them who a pakistani is wherever and whenever i got a chance.
