most of the pakistanis i know in california are well off. i think it is because they came to the u.s to study. and the reason indians do better is not cause they suck up it is because they are smart. the company my dad works at just hired bunch of indian workers, the women wear shelwar kameez to work and cook indian food in the cafeteria. the only reason a company would hire them is because they have a brain. and indians value education way more then pakistanis.
