You know I give up. I am gonna marry a gori. After these past 4 days I am damn certain I am not marrying a desi girl. No way in hell. So on Saturday in my duty station we get a Pakistani guy and gal. The Pakistani gentleman is an older guy with kids and we get along famously. Hell I am meeting him in Kabul when I get there for dinner.
Anyway the female. She is bonafide guppan material. Passes comments about how us men (we are three men in Farah) live weirdly and do weird stuff. Etc. She at one point comment on how we left the room with the tv on and came back 10 minutes later. Stated we weren’t conserving energy and all the rest. Woman we are in edited Afghanistan. The generator can handle 10 minutes of the TV on. But nope. Gender comment needed to be made. Then she made some comment about how the guest house is spartan. At this stage I was feeling cheeky so I stated what do you expect from men, flowers and stained windows. Seems she doesn’t like my sense of humor. The older guy…well he does
Anyway these past 4 days living with a Pakistani woman. If they are anything like married life I rather shoot myself. She since day one hasn’t bother to have a 10 minutes conversation with me. She will speak to everybody but me and acts like I am a damn piranha. Hell I tried keeping her company while she cooked and she just ignored me completely.
Maybe she is avoiding you because she is afraid of her burning attraction towards you and this is only way desi women know how to cope with their guilt
She is cooking dinner for us. So I thought I would help. Turns out she completely messed up the pasta and I had to save it. And even then not a single thank you or yes it tastes much better.

and talk about generalizations about goris, they're all different you know just like other women, some are chilled some might not be.
