I am really angry at you, Akmal and Razzaq for saving the match.
My Husband is a self confessed “cricket nut”. Last day of play started at Friday night 9pm our time. We were convinced of a Paki loss in an hour or so, so I stayed up. But then an hour passed, another one, lunch came and went and then came tea, with no respite for a poor wife. My husband got so excited that he stayed up till 4 or 5 am. “Dejected” I went to sleep around 1.
But that was not all. the next day our daughter woke us up at 9am. Naturally he was tired, but had to stay up all day so we could finish our Saturday chores, and then he went to bed at 9pm, not to wake up till 9am on Sunday.
So thank you for ruining my weekend. Sure you brought joy and hope to millions. But in the process you have created the worst of enemies. A vengeful wife.
And the worst part is that the next test starts on Tuesday night our time and will end on Saturday night / Sunday morning. So I hope you are happy.
