The other Pakistani movie was abt a family of ~ 4 daughters and one brother - the brother is more a girl - their father is a conservative person, kills the boy - has another baby with a Heera Mandhi lady…

It was a gripping movie with excellent acting all around.

It was ‘Bol’ directed by Shoaib Mansoor - director of ‘Khuda ke liye’. So you watched both movies by the same director.

MQ. The little said about Pakistani movies, the better, except for the productions from 50s, 60s, and some 70s.
Can you even get any in decent print ?

Recent good productions like KKL, Bol, and Ramchand Pakistani are not even typical commercial Lollywood fares.

You are right. Unfortunately, We can’t find better prints of good Pakistani movies and therefore I only suggested movies which are not commercial but critically acclaimed and fortunately available in good prints.

I dont watch Indian movies and never have except ones w/ a Pakistani element and that too out of support. No one watches Star Plus any longer in Pakistan in my family either (they did a few years back) but now w/ the emergence of AMAZING Pakistani dramas, that has totally vanished too.

It's an exciting time for Pakistani entertainment! I wish our films get the same revival too.

Southie: You should also chck out Humsafar Drama that everyone is gaga over and the story is so beautiful that it even our Pakistani men are hooked on it.

as for indian dramas!! … not my cup of tea! …
the invest so much into glamour and show this fantasy world that one cant relate to it!
but yes if they start making good dramas like we do! i may watch them!

movies … they used to be good … abb pata nahi kia hogeya!
the last indian movie that i watched and i really liked as well
was taare zameen pe! .. they should make more movies like that!

I'm quite perplexed as to why women in particular in Pakistan watch these indian soaps? And their children end up sitting next to them to watch them too. Before the cable and dish era no one bothered watching the only indian channel that was available; Door darshan!

I think things need to go back the way they were....

dont know how many are watching indian entertainment....but i myself is only interested in bollywood and music and....there tv is only when there is nothing else to watch, for time pass or someone else is watching it.

from pakistan i am only into dramas and music and quality films like khuda ke liye, khamosh paani.
