So how creepy/scary is the idea of Pakistanis traveling to India?
I would love to travel to India with my husband. I’ve been there twice before but then with heavy protocol with university. Husband deeply loves India, but in this love story came me … LOL … a Pakistani passport holder.
He isn’t Pakistani, so he’d get a visa in like a couple of days without any problem. Plus, he’s lived there by himself and traveled a couple of times, so I guess it’s no problem for him. But for me, of course first getting the visa itself would be a big issue i guess. But i am more concerned about security and crap. The heavily protocol-ed university visit kinda left me a bit freaked out. Is it really that bad or is it all in my head? Any experiences? Does everyone look at you as if you’re an ISI agent? LOL. Excuse my presumptions (if the case).

Farrah, seriously I wouldn't go and spend my money somewhere where I think I would be unwelcome, especially if I have been to that place twice already and returned with some unpleasant memories, let alone those of galiyan! Plus I prefer not visiting the same place again and again as a tourist unless there is some compelling reason, like visiting relatives during the same trip.
There is a whole wide world out there that is waiting to be discovered. If you want a distinctively South Asian touch, how about Sri Lanka? The culture and people are not very different from India's. And it is an awesome place, inexpensive, and with very friendly people. Also, Pakistanis do not need visa for Sri Lanka I think. With Sri Lanka, you can also add nearby Maldives in the same itinerary if you are flying with Emirates or Sri Lankan Airlines. The nicer resorts in Maldives are expensive but Maldives is a hot destination, especially for couples.
If you are looking for solid value for money in a vacation, there are always Thailand and Malaysia. You guys very likely might have been there already but still very good hotels can be enjoyed there at very low rates, and shopping and restaurants are lot cheaper than in, say, Europe or the States.

@Khalil_KhaaN_FaaKhta thank you for the reassuring words
@goodname i’ve only been to the same specific cities in both my trips, so there remains much to be explored. of course there is lots more that i want to see. since i am in europe, so i let the close-by destinations for times when i have kids … LOL … and before i get that permanent baggage, i do want to make far off holidays. knowing how crazy india and thailand are … it’s good to travel there when still 2 …
the bad experience was one time, so i’m not going to place everything on that one incident. there were many good moments too. plus. considering how much husband loves india, it would be nice to travel there TOGETHER at least once
pakistani log indians se zyada fair skin ke hote hain.delhi me to kafi pakistani ate rehte hai to wo log pehchan lete hain magar ap jaise jaise south me jaoge kisiko farq samaj nahi ayega
We visited india last year on our way to Malaysia to visit our relatives. Stayed in Mumbai for 3 days. Delhi for 5 days. Both of these places we managed to find a taxi driver who was courteous enough to show us around. He would show up every morning at exact time we would tell him to show up at our hotel. Very very sweet and mehman nawazz he was. Just as there are good and bad people every where, we were at Taj Mahal taking pics with our family. There were lot of people there i guess. So me and my brother were talking in urdu about sending these pictures to Pakistan to our cousins. I guess this indian family heard us and and one of the young guy from the family said, " oeyy Pakistani ho tum log??????". My brother shook his head in agreement and then called us" salay b---d". And said couple of really obscene words. My dad got so mad and we walked away from there. Another similiar incident took place at this restaurant we were sitting at. Considerably nice restaurant near our hotel in Mumbai. Just as we were ordering this food. The waiter asked us in Indian accent: Pakistani ho ap logg???. My dad said yes. He started giving us this very uncomfortable look and walked away after taking our order. And after 1 minute all the waiter and waitresses were staring at us making us very uncomfortable from far. They kept ignoring us hence we didn't get good service at the resturant.
