I have a picture of myself next to the JF-17 thunder when it was here at the Dubai Air show last year. They let me get up on the ladder next to it and showed me the button that releases the missile. The pilot told me they never press the button without saying “Allahu Akbar”. Was a pretty epic air show. Pakistan displayed some really amazing technology there :slight_smile:

Pakistan bags first JF-17 order in Paris. A massive congratulations to team Pakistan. Loved the group photo the PAF team of pilot, technician and support staff. So proud of them.

Mostly (or all..?) of the components and work is Chinese. With all the gloom and doom in Pakistan, let Pakis rejoice as they say **Doobtay ko tinkay ka sahara ! **

Considering the fact that PAF F-16s are on borrowed time, it is good that JF-17 is coming though something must be done about the engine. Pakistan is assembling the jets like Agosta submarines, but I think that Pakistan should expand the facilities to make a full jet from scratch after ToT from China. China is basically making them for Pakistan as they have yet to induct them like the 300+ they should have per the original contract.

Do you guys think that JF-17 can compete with French and US jets. I read some reviews and only positive thing about this version is price which is fraction of others.

I met mr Tom Cruise on Sunday… sadly PAF did not fly the aircraft and Mr. Cruise was found on Le Bourget station :smiley:

Me and my friend talked with him briefly and took pictures with him. The image upload is not working on GS, but I’ll post pics as soon as it allows me to.
