so maybe they should not do it at all. lets oppose the bill.
There are plenty of students in US who are graduating or have graduated and basically need to go back, same goes for people who would be on H1 and it did not get renewed due to employment situation in US. even if it is a few hundred people, thats a few hundred people who have an opportunity to support their families in pakistan and not have to go back to that area while it is a mess.

ok so why not just provide jobs to those “students” who have graduated, and same for the H1 holders? why not just renew their visa and give them jobs if they dont have? why its difficult for usa to give those few hundred people jobs and go the already available legal way, instead of bringing this charity bill of “temporary protection” ??? what the state of pakistan is supposed to give the USA in return?

before we start supporting and jumping in joy, why not we first show the figures, how many of those students who have completed their graduation are actually from the flood affected villages and have lost everything that they cannot come back?

nobody is against anyone’s chance and right to earn the livelihood in the US, the only thing that needs to be answered is why a new law of “temporary protection” inside the USA instead of giving them support and building their homes and giving them resources to earn their livelihood inside pakistan? why not?
