Re: Pakistani scientist in Nobel team
Dr shaaib, what kind of logic is that? If all the Indians (1 billion +) decided to jump of the cliff.... should follow them?
BTW, this is nothing more than feel good story. Kind of like "aww we won something" when in reality "we" we haven't won anything. The guy deserves credit for his work, and he was horned for it, but why are we linking him to Pakistan?
Also, Pakistan one and only Noble Peace Prize winner Dr. Abdus Salam never got the respect or the credit for his work in Pakistan b/c according to some he was not sufficiently Muslim.
Khan sahib, you are contradicting your own self. If you are proud of Dr. Abdus Salam's work (which we should be) and you are claiming his credit, you also need to know that his work was not in Pakistan.
It is not about jumping off the cliff? Is it? It is about projecting your positive image. Do you think all the engineers from India working in US were hired directly from their alma mata? Only a very few. Most get their masters in US and then start working in US on the basis of their US degrees (or their experience). However, unlike us, they have used this opportunity to project their positive image to the world.
