Pakistani Sayyeds

:salam:

I don’t know if this is the right forum or not but are they real or are most fakes?

When I’m in Pakistan and visit Punjab I see them there, they are extremely dark skinned, like choorray, but they say we are descended from Sayyidina Hazrat Ali :razi: and Sayyida Hazrat Fatima :razi2:, how can that be? They don’t look like Arabs and surely our Prophet :saw: being the handsome man that he was some of his beauty, pakeezgi and noor would have reflected in them but I do not see that, one was even a drag queen, why are village Punjabis so devoted to them despite it being abvious that they are fakes.

and even if they were real, big deal, it’s your amaal which make u a good person.

On a side note to pk taz: I have fixed the thread title. A lot of people here are sensitive about the word "paki", and so plz be careful in the future. It really doesn't take that long to write the whole thing: "Pakistani". :-)

On second thoughts, this is really a silly thread, actually. "Chooray"? You must be kidding. Start a thread in Culture, if you want to know about ancestory of various types of Pakistanis. If you wanna comment on dark skinned people, might as well start talking in front of a mirror.

appearances can change as people marry others. as generations pass, the genepool expands, teh common characteristics get diluted. for example look at differences between siblngs-first cousins-second cousins the farther you go in teh family trtee, the less common characteristics you will find ( assuming its not one of teh family that just keeps marrying within)

How many are real and how many are false, that is only known to god. The point remains, in the end it is one's own deeds and not lineage that decides their fate.

i dont know man pk..i am a Syed and i am pretty damn good looking..now now dont you get too excited mr pk taz :D

Oops.. read my comments above. Thx
