Dr Farooq was living in exile in Britain

Dr Farooq was killed in Edgware, north London, two weeks ago.

The five-and-a-half inch blade and house brick were found in Green Lane, where the 50-year-old was assaulted on 16th September.

Officers are trying to trace two Asian men in connection with Dr Farooq’s murder.

They have as yet made no arrests, but aren’t ruling out a political motive behind the killing.

Dr Farooq was a prominent member of Pakistan’s Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) opposition party.

He had been living in exile in London after fleeing the country 11 years ago.

His murder sparked violence in Karachi, where buildings and vehicles were set alight, despite a public appeal for 10 days of peaceful mourning.

A police spokesman says: "A number of witnesses have already contacted police, but officers believe there are other people who may hold vital information about the incident and they continue to urge them to come forward.

“Officers from the Specialist Operations Counter Terrorism Command want to speak to anyone who saw the attack or was in the area at the time.”

Opposition party :smack:
London police and their press are the worst.

SY will never resolve this case, as they failed with Liaquat Ali Khan and Benazir cases. They will ‘gol mol’ it and ppl will soon forget. British govt has their own interests and agenda to defend.

Re: Pakistani Politician Murder: Weapons Found

Actually the Liaquat Ali Khan's assasination case was going to be resolved until the aircraft carrying important documents in regards to his murder case on its way to either Rawalpindi or Karachi crashed mysteriously burning down all useful evidence with it. I don't care about BBs murder. That was actually good riddance. I hope all politicians are taken down one a time like that.

Re: Pakistani Politician Murder: Weapons Found

Makes no difference as the killers are safely back in South Africa, the home base of MQM's terrorist hit squad...secondly as stated above going after the real killers, i.e. Altaf himself is not in British gov't's interst...
