Pakistani police

Pakistani police

Talking about Pakistan’s Shaky dictatorship, let’s take a look at what Pakistan’s Police force is like? The police force is an important part of any community because they are responsible for the security of society and populace so they feel safe and secure. But what happens when these guards turn out to be murderers, rapists and looters, instead of saviors. Naturally you’ll feel unshielded. Unfortunately, Pakistani police is full of negative qualities.

Since the time of General Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq, Pakistani police are unleashed to do whatever they want to. Nobody can stop them. They don’t have counter check on them, and the head of police, is the king.

If Pakistani people get troubled from robbers or criminals, they just seal their lips by saying, “It’s God’s will, just forget it”, but they don’t go to file a compliant to police. But if any brave person did this mistake of opening his lips to the police, it mean now he’s under more danger than crooks. They’ll aggravate him, and if he has young daughters or even wife or mother, so most probably they’ll get kidnapped, harassed or raped by these cold-blooded policemen. They take bribes to do your legal work, and they can do illegal work for you too but price may vary.

Police is supposed to be under the influence of justice and virtue, but in Pakistan police are packed with unfairness, corruption and discrimination. Recently what they did with chief justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry is shameful. They physically abuse the respected chief justice. They tortured and arrested the lawyers, who were supporting the chief justice. After creating all this chaos, they went to “Geo television’s Head office” and broke the furniture and everything. Their actions were illegal.

People of rural areas are the maximum target of police, because the people of those areas are illiterate, poor and suppressed by their power, but mainly because, those areas are ruled by Feudal Lords. These lords feed police officers, so that in return, police do what ever they ask them to. They can rape, murder, kidnaps or just scare them.

According to Asian Human Rights Commission, in 2006, 415 people were killed in so-called police encounters, and only one case was filed in court against police but no one got punished.

Police force of Pakistan is beyond doubt a lawbreaker. They never come on merit; they come on source. They’re responsible for the unrest within the communities. The only solution to clean the police department is to discard entire police department, and fill the department with educated youngsters, who should be trained by a foreigner police trainer, for instance an American. In United States, I discovered that police are the savior as well as friends of citizens, and I said to myself that, actually they are the courageous, truthful, down-to-earth and sincere police force, but not the Muslim Pakistani police of Pakistan.

So my request to Pakistani citizens; especially to Pakistani women that, how long you’ll be victimized, humiliated and terrified by these corrupt and characterless police? Please don’t be delicate be tough; don’t be shy from them because you’re a woman; stand up against the police’s governance and don’t let them rape you or scare you anymore.

Think about it. It’s never too late!
