Do Afghans have "police"? What do they know about police? Does any police taking bribe anywhere in the world really care if their victim is poor? Pak police is like any other corrupt police of the world, why are "Afghans" sick of them? Stay in your country and you won't have to face Pakistani police, simple.
90% of the poeple if employed in police but not given due salary will turn courrpt as they hold the power of the gun in their hand through which they can earn more than many times of their salary.
This was one of the false issues raised by MQM in its early years as they claimed police in Karachi was brutual and corrupt as majority of them were not locals.
But what happened then after induction of many locals into the police. They proved equally corrupt and brutual.
Poloitocians are crooked
President is selfish
PM is powerless
Kingmaker is a (ex)con
Military lacks courage
Judges are agenda activists
Lawyers are clueless
Engineers leave (good ones)
Doctors buy their way in
So why does it surprise that police are corrupt?
People are 6th century minded and everything else is par for that course
well if they hate the pakistani police so much and love the afghani one, then why live in Pakistan, go back to Afghanistan and have all the politeness and service from Afghan Police, Afghan Army(if exists), and NATO oh and the Taleban!
They should thank the "corrupt PAkistani Police" cause if they werent corrupt many of the Afghans were back in Afghanistan and not holding Pakistani passport for travel, they should be thankfull to corrupt Pakistani authorities. ;)
Afghanistan: After $6 Billion, Where’s a Cop When You Need One?
New GAO Report Says Not One Fully Capable Police Unit in Afghanistan After US Money and Effort
By DEAN NORLAND and JUSTIN ROOD
June 19, 2008 —
Despite a $6 billion U.S. effort to recruit and train police in Afghanistan, the country’s national police force does not currently have a single unit that is “fully capable” of carrying out its mission, according to a new government report.
In fact, three-quarters of all Afghan police units were totally incapable of carrying out their mission, the report by the Government Accountability Office said; only three percent were judged to be capable, with help, of doing their jobs.
“Nearly seven years after the invasion of Afghanistan, I don’t think anyone can take a whole lot of pride in the answer to the question, ‘how are we doing,’” said Rep. John Tierney, D-Mass., at a hearing on the topic Wednesday before his panel on oversight of national security and foreign affairs.
While Defense Department reports reviewed by GAO said the ranks of Afghan police had grown from 35,000 in 2005 to nearly 80,000 today, they also suggested those figures leave room for accuracy.
In a partial census of Afghan police last September, the Pentagon reported that it was “unable to verify the physical existence” of 20 percent of the uniformed police and more than 10 percent of the border police listed on the payroll.
In his prepared testimony Tuesday, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Central Asia Bobby Wilkes blamed troubles in building up the Afghan police on “endemic corruption,” slow equipement deliveries, and a lack of trainers and mentors.
Wilkes acknowledged that although an international agreement calls for Afghan police to be trained and ready by December 2010, the Pentagon now expects they will not be ready until the end of 2012.
He always had the option of staying in Afghanistan if the Pakistani Police are that bad.
Maybe he should sing a song about Afghan warlords.
As bad as pakistani police are in general you have to remember that when society is corrupt from the very top to the very bottom there are very few clean people.
well if they hate the pakistani police so much and love the afghani one, then why live in Pakistan, go back to Afghanistan and have all the politeness and service from Afghan Police, Afghan Army(if exists), and NATO oh and the Taleban!

u should not say stuff like that..ur patrism sounds very arrogant. the afghans r going thru hell and they come to us for refuge adn they get such treatment 4rm our police.. n u r saying go back 2 afghan(the hell in which they cant live..thats y they escaped) adn that htey should 'thank the pkstni police'?
4 what? 4 their brutality?
do u know the types of horrific things that our corrupt police do? this isnt a 'lets stick up 4 paksitan topic!'
if u love 'the corrupt paksitani police force' so much..then y dont u leave your mother, sister and fiance/gf with them alone 4 a while? no right? bcs u dont trust em..heh na? its not ok 4 them 2 do brutality with the paksitani nationals but its ok 4 them 2 do it with these poor afghan ppl in need?
pleez think about what ur writing and ur thinking process and how u came to the conclusion written in ur post..it sounds very immature and malicious.
^^^ mind your stupid language, you totally mis undetstood.
I was referring to they are referring to Pakistani police as corrupt as if they have the most friendly one back home. I am not promoting the corrupt Police(well all scociety is and they are from the same nation). Pakistan Police doesnt treat Afghans different to Pakistanis.
Afghans always complain about Pakistan and Pakistanis, hardly they apperciate what Pakistan has done for them in time when no other nation was helping them.
I am not arrogant, most Afghans are arrogant, and I said most towards Pakistan, the very same country who provided shelter to them. They hate Pakistan and yet they live in Pakistan. their whole generations born and brought up in Pakistan but still they think Pakistan is an enemy.
all I was saying if they are not happy in Pakistan they should go back, so corrupt society in Pakistan still a lot stable than Afghanistan and a livable place. Whats wrong with this?
and what is say they should be thankfull to the corrupt police i was actually refering to Pakistani Police in efficiency, because of their and other departments corruption, many got ID card, passports etc. which is legally wrong. but because of this many afghans were able to live a very successfull life in Pakistan with their hard work, they even sat up many businesses in mega cities. and were able to travel abroad. so some of this corruption did good for them in reality.
