inzi: 894 runs at an average of almost 55.8
afridi: 619 runs at an average of 36.4 - 28 wkts @ 33.5 run/wkt

I would say Inzi cuz he has performed in both tests and onedays where as others only did either onedays or tests..

I’d go for Inzi, as mentioned by other guppies earlier that he has been the most consistent batsman and has performed well both in ODI and Tests… so its Inzi the man!!

Crickets a team game - giving awards to one player can cause unnecessary friction among players - and we have enough of that , so that may explain the lack of an official award.
However, as fans go - I would say, my vote has to be with Younis Khan - why ?
I think he is the most improved player this year - someone who has taken opportunities provided to him and converted them into personal and team success. Afridi and Shoaib Malik are also in the same category. Both have either reinvented or improved their standings in the team so much that now its very normal to consider them as part of both ODI and Test teams.
As for Inzi, terming him player of the year is almost demeaning his contribition to Pak cricket - I would suggest that a new category - Hero Of Pakistan cricket be created for the Gentle Giant of Multan !

INZIMAM deserves it as he not only excelled as a batsman but there was a visible and clear improvement in his captaincy.
