You also have to see when did he achieve this 47. It was not this high all of his inning. I bet you give 30 more overs to Shafiq and he will up the rate to 50+ but Pakistan will lose half more day.
Amir Sohail and Anwar were aggressive openers. I am not asking for boundaries left, right and center but what I am saying that if your strike rate during most part of your inning is b/w 30 and 33 (as was Taufeeq’s) or if you have scored 15 runs on 70 balls (as Asad did) and that all when your team is in strong position and need some quick runs, there certainly is a problem.
Strike rate of 3.25-3.5 is very common in Test cricket now …
