Most dominant discourses in Islam agree that it is a sin. Some say it is a crime which can be punished. Ghamdi takes a different approach saying its a sin - and the act is punishable depending on whatever society deems.
I don’t care if it is a sin - because sins are between Allah and His servant.
I don’t think it should be a crime punishable in any way. As it is - it is hardly something that is prosecuted regularly in Pakistani courts. But just by being on the law books it is abused to the detriment of homosexuals in the country - and the advantage of no one.
I’ve heard of numerous marriages being annulled lately because the man turned out to be gay and couldn’t consummate the marriage. The woman however is considered a divorcee and has the stigma on her that our unjust society places with divorcees.
If homosexuality was legal - you wouldn’t have homosexuals being coerced into marriage out of fear of being outed - and you wouldn’t have problems of marriages being annulled and lives being ruined as a result.
