There are some good maulvis too in Pakistan but as long as we relate religion ONLY with maulvis and bearded people, we will not be able to progress both in this world and hereafter. Muslims of few centuries ago, they were not bad muslims and they were extremely talented people who contributed to the world for much greater purposes in fields like medical and sciences.Unfotunately, now the educated or progressive people disregard interpretations by maulvis, but the worst part is they they dont try to understand religion themselves. Need to do that
O my innocent and ignorant people - who may have not visited Pakistan in ages ..... Education is not the key here - Economics is !
People who send their kids to Madrassa and other islamic welfare schools arent keen about them getting the right education ... They send them so these kids can get some free food every day and couple of clothes every year - which them as parents are unable to provide . And Our government as the guardian institution not willing to cater ..
In this whole game - education comes as the cherry on the top ... you know what I mean ?
so mere Bholay BhalaY loGooN - as some wise man once said
Masla saRa Iqtaysadii hai
kahiiN pe Ghum hai kahiiN pe Shadi hai
:)
this does not explain the knuckleheaded jamiaat goons at universities all over the country.
nor does it explain the boneheads you can find on facebook and twitter and even on GS off and on, if they have time and computers etc, then its not economics driving them.
your avg zealot footsoldier may come from the ranks of those who cant feed or clothe their kids but everyone above that level is from somewhat stable backgrounds.
