Pakistani Models and Modesty (Splitted)

agreed - I think Pakistani models have some special spark about them that’s missng with the indians.

Why do these guys always go and grab indian models? I swear.

We put an Indian model into our project, and she’s dressed well and respected.

They take our Pakistani actress/model and they ALWAYS make them do something scandelous!

Re: Jiya Na Jaye - Faakhir

^^
I agree with you. Basically theres is a slutty industry which portrays a lot more skin and stuff that can be accepted by the MAINSTREAM Pakistani audience [note the emphasis, please]. They use women as commodities and rely on flesh to sell - look at all those retarded remix videos. We on the other hand have always shown women in a more, shall I put, civilized manner. The video under question is just one of the numerous examples - no lewd gestures, no insane sexual innuendos are there and she's covered dammit! It's grace personified.

So far, no thumkaas in bikinis from our side, and hopefully not in the future either!!

Re: Jiya Na Jaye - Faakhir

^ don't be so sure about that BB. I have seen Pakistani models in slutty clothes too. Woh bhi kuch kam nahin hain. They are just waiting for the oppertunity. Bas moqa milnay ki baat hai. We are becoming more liberal day by day. So that day is not far that we won't be able to make any distinction between Indian and Pakistani models.

Re: Jiya Na Jaye - Faakhir

Do you know what I am, or for that matter, you yourself are talking about? I’m talking about the mainstream audience which is exposed to the models mainly through ads and music videos. Those are pretty decent - you just can not compare say, the racier of them like Rahim SHah’s Ishq or even Faakhir’s Mahi Vey with the porn they are showin as music “videos” in Indieland!! And please, I can not foresee a day where the distinction shall be eliminated. This whole Pak population is so perpetually depressed, always presenting gloom and doom scenarios!

Re: Jiya Na Jaye - Faakhir

BB, Please also include half of Pakistanis in that 'mainstream' audience that watch those filthy Indie music videos. They are being shown in about 50% of Pakistani homes and our public religiously watches it everyday. Like I said in my previous post if it was up to us our media wouldn’t be too different from Indian media. Thanks to some Govt regulations that we somewhat seem more modest then our neighboring country. But since the whole thing started with distinction between Pakistani and Indian models let me repeat what I said earlier. They are not any better or more modest than Indian models. It's only the matter of opportunity and freedom. As a Pakistani and Muslim it used to bother me a lot when I start seeing that indecency in our fashion and entertainment industry but then I gave myself a reality check and realized that not everyone is that religious or modest that I expect them to be. Your moral values has nothing to do where you live or what country you’re from. Being a Pakistani does not give anyone the label of being decent.

Re: Pakistani Models and Modesty (Splitted)

I agree with Agent Smith that it is mostly our society pressure and subsequent Govt regulations are keeping our fashion industry under control. Models in our entertainment industry (show biz and fashion) are still prsented in somewhat presentable limits but for how long? Some of them (not all) will cross limits (lack of proper word) at first oppurtunity presented to them.

Re: Pakistani Models and Modesty (Splitted)

I have a question for you PCG.. Why are you are whining on the forum about how come this doesn't happen or why can't this person do this...

I have seen a trend from you just emphasizing on negative aspects of our entertainment industry. If you dont believe me do a search for your posts.. You will know what I mean...

PS you know we all love you.. And this post is in good fun! :p Actually you are one of the few competant contributor to the shor Sharaba section!

Re: Pakistani Models and Modesty (Splitted)

Saby and Agent Smith are right. With this enlightened moderation crap, anything is possible.

Re: Jiya Na Jaye - Faakhir

So true. Sometimes I have to remind myself that certain people are Pakistani or Muslim… shameful… but then again - we all have our faults and I suppose for some, modesty is one of them.

Re: Pakistani Models and Modesty (Splitted)

Nobody can make anyone do anything without their consent. Some of our pakistani models are jumping for any opportunity that comes arises from India and are prepared to stoop lower than the ground inorder to gain fame and recognition.

Re: Pakistani Models and Modesty (Splitted)

All that said, the point which I made can not be refuted: We don't use sex and porn to sell music. They do. Fashion is totally different - and even if you talk about that we do have people like Amna Shafaat [the Dil Ki baatein girl] who refuse to wear indecent crap. Can any model from the Indie side do this?.

And trust me, saying that half the Pak population watches Indian music porn is a heavy exageration.... I for one came to know of their existence living in the dorm!

oh fine, put my comments on the spot by splitting the thread!
