One of my friends admitted to me today that most men (kala, gora, desi, U.S born Pakistani) posses double standards, want to control marriage life, act dominant, things they want for themselves like partying, enjoying life, doing whatever they want with friends, screwing many girls, and fooling around, they wouldn't expect from their wives. The girl needs to be innocent because she will be mother of your kids, pure, good character, clean past, and very family oriented... The girl should stay quiet and involve herself in motherly activities once she becomes a mother. He suggested me that I will never get married if I stay with my Americanized thinking of "equality between partners" and not act innocent.
Do you think this kind of mentality is associated with education? I think educated guys here in America would like to have a witty, smart, good-looking, independent woman who he can treat equally, enjoy life and share responsibility with. Are men really hypocrites? I dont believe all men are hypocrites and I totally disagree with em. Please men, expose your true-self :p ....
I would like to marry a girl who is independent, educated and smart individual. With that said, i do not have any double standards nor i am personally controlling. I say this i hate this "controlling" someone in marriage or in fact in any relationship. Marriage is based on mutual love, respect and bonding. But i guess, practical life is not like this. Or perhaps i have no clue what is it like to be married. But all i could say is, we are all different. Every guy you would meet is different. Some would be players, some would be control freaks or what not. In the end, you will come across guys who find true value in mutual love and respect you for who you are.
Btw, i would like to also state that some women can be controlling as well. They can be very negative persona as well..but that does not mean..women in general are like this. Lastly, have you or your friend spoke to nice gentleman who is out of this generalization box?. I recommend you do that Sehar. Your views might change about us Men folks.
