I am never going to go back to Pakiland and marry a guy from there. I am a UK gal and these Pakistanis abuse us British like anything.

• They marry us and come to UK, get a nice job and get settled on our expense. They don't know how to gel with us.
• They think we are so modern and different, yet they are willing to marry us for the passy! They believe that us BBCDs are not on the same wavelength with them after marriage, where were you before marriage? Oh right, thinking how to trap a British Paki to marry you so you can come to the UK.
• After living all my life outside, it is highly difficult for me to adjust in Pakistan.
• Have you seen how CHALAK some of the girls are in Pakistan? They are definitely too clever for me to deal with
• I hate the desi mentality Pakistani ladies and men have. They become suspicious at anything. Oh ladies be sure to close your facebook account if you get trapped in to marrying a Pakki from Pakiland because he might not like seeing guys on your profile!

I used to think, Pakistan is so clean and pure and nothing bad ever happens but the truth is there have been so many murders in Pakistan, so many crimes, the rich control the poor, people going wild, people loosing their sense of dignity and "sharam" in Pakistan and indulging in illicit activities, everything is similar to what happens outside in the world.

The point is every country has it's ups and downs and bad and good points. You cannot go freaking say that us BCDs are confused or modern or not religious because that is not the bloody truth. London has one of the biggest and best mosque around and the population of UK Muslims is high. Some of the muslims here can bring shame easily to the so called Pakki muslims in Pakiland.

It is stupid to say that. I seen what is going on in this forum, the ABCD bashing thread and that is so ****ing unfair. Guys need to open their eyes, especially those that live outside of Pakistan. Pakistan is not what it used to be, it is highly modernised and everything happens and can be found there. Only difference is, people hide it and are good at covering their wrongdoings while people in other countries openly do it.

May i ask what you mean by 'problems' caused by their refusal to integrate? What is your idea of integration?

Trying to get road signs in Urdu, extra funding for translation services (when these people have been in the UK longer then I have been alive), demanding funding for private schools that cater for only Pakistani Muslims, building their own ‘special masjids’ that only do the Khutba in Urdu, to name a few.
You know we have Somalian Muslims that have only been in this country for 2 years that have contributed more on an economic, social and religious level that many of our own home grown Pakistanis.

By saying you live in a 'multi-cultural' place do you mean the city of Birmingham or a select area i.e Edgbaston, Small Heath etc ? If you mean the city then you have no rights to comment on the Pakistani mentality just because you have meet one out of 200,000+ Pakistanis who currently reside in Brum.

I think x butterfly x and zena have a point, there is a lot of messed up marriage for passport, forced marriage etc. stuff going on in the Pakistani communities in the UK, stuff that doesn't happen nearly as much amongst Pakistanis in other countries. I think it's difficult to understand unless u've seen what goes on in places like Birmingham where zena's from.. Same goes for some parts of Yorkshire.. Down in London the culture is a bit different as there's such a mish-mash (and I mean that in a good way) of ppl but up there u can defo sense Pakistanis are much more clustered into their own little groups with no desire to integrate with the surrounding populations (other Muslims included) and as a result often end up with the insular backward minded thinking of ppl who give all of us a bad name.

*Btw zena, that particular poster seems to have a chip on his shoulder.. Everything he's said is cultural BS. Would serve him right if all his kids decided to 'marry out' lol

Anyone forcing the thread opener to marry a guy from Pakistan? Its a personal preference and hence not debatable.

You don't like Pakistan born Pakistanis and Pakistan born Pakistanis think BBCDs or ABCDs have no morals, so let it be that way.
