Pakistani men hold hands

I know Pakistani men hold hands and it is all about pure friendship. But I saw some pictures that a Pakinstani guy kissed another. Is that normal culturally?

Re: Pakistani men hold hands

Kissing both sides of the face... is common in Frankish and Indo-Arab culture. But it's not to do with any homosexual tendancies but rather a simple gesture of great friendship.

Re: Pakistani men hold hands

No, Pakistani guys don't kiss, a casual hug will suffice. I haven't seen guys hold hands either, maybe I just haven't been around as much but normal people don't do that! Arabs do the kissing thing.

Re: Pakistani men hold hands

^ It’s not exclusive to Arabs dude… Dont tell me you havent been hugged and even kissed on Eid days or when it’s your Birthday or sumtin…

That said I dont think it happens every day otherwise then I would be very suspicous :hmmm:

Re: Pakistani men hold hands

No, never seen kissing on Eid days, you just get the standard 1, 2, 3 hug. Only kissing I've seen is among the aunties.

Re: Pakistani men hold hands

What about putting face on friend's face when hugging. Is that normal? Seems there are different standards between Paki guys. Anyhow, I think they will correct themself if they have gay tendancies. Most likely it is just gesture showing deep freindship, right?

Re: Pakistani men hold hands

Pakistani men do a lot of things together some of them you have mentioned might be true, just depends on the region ;)

Re: Pakistani men hold hands

and what about women going to the bathroom together?? whats up with that?

Re: Pakistani men hold hands

My brother noticed the holding hands thing on our last visit. Its just the culture i guess.

Re: Pakistani men hold hands

Pakistani guys in Pakistan don’t hold hands, they hold pinkys! :hehe: I’m kidding, sadly I’ve seen both.

I have an uncle who’s a bit on the religious side, and he seems to have a kissing habit, his way of greeting is a big hug and kiss on the cheek to every uncle he see’s. My dad said that he almost got his lips once, and now my dad jokes around that he sucks his lips in when he hugs that uncle just to be on the safe side LOL

Re: Pakistani men hold hands

There was a dude here who posted his dubai pics where he was kissing another guy and felt there was nothing wrong with it! haha

Re: Pakistani men hold hands

Please stop looking at other cultures with the sensitivities of your own or of the place where you are used to living. Westerners call such a behavior as gay since that is considered gay in their culture. The Pakistani guys you see hugging or holding hands don't do it for your amusement or entertainment or because ALL of them are gay but because gay-ism (or whatever it is called) is not discussed or joked about in this country as much as in, let's say, the US.

These people mostly do it because they do not understand your cultural sensitivities.

Re: Pakistani men hold hands

:k:

and all you people are perverts to think like that…:snooty:

Re: Pakistani men hold hands

I agree that we should respect other cultures. I remembered in those old days that men in my country held hands because they were good friends. Nobody thought it was wrong or strange about that. Nowadays, westerner do not do that any more as they are more cautious for the reason that they do not want to be thought they are gay.

I grew up in western culture and did not know much about other cultures. Some believe that there are 10% of the population in the world are gay. If it is true, what happens if a pakitani guy is gay. Would he seek a way to correct it, or leave it as a secret for himself?

Re: Pakistani men hold hands

err very awkward.

Re: Pakistani men hold hands

:k:
I find it funny how ppl will find gay guys wearing makeup/drag, holding hands etc perfectly okay here in US but in Pak it’s the weirdest thing in the world. at least admit to the double standards

Re: Pakistani men hold hands

it's time we become tolerant and start accepting other cultures....holding hands is in pakistani culture and kissing on cheeks is the norm in some arab countries.....picking on these little little things is just childish.
