Just came across this in my Facebook. It’s a quite disturbing video of a Pakistani Maulvi explaining Jannat and Hooris. I know a lot of you educated Muslims here don’t view Jannat (Heaven) like this, but this is what’s being taught by this Maulvi and others like him in Pakistan and it needs to be stopped. It’s really sickening!

If you're a Muslim then these words coming at of your mouth are sickening and should be stopped. If you're not a Muslim then you should be worrying about more important matters than what molvis are teaching in Pakistan.

This guy calls woman on this Earth "Mailee Kuchailee auratay", and has a lot of nasty stuff in the video which you will see if you watch it. It's not even a true description of Jannat as reported in Quran.. This guy is fooling Muslims so yes it is a problem and Muslims should be concerned about Maulvis like this.

Yes, I did watch the video two times to make sure I didn't miss your objections. Insulting you? what about you insulting the words of the Prophet (sal-allahu alayhi wa salaam). The Prophet (sal-allahu alayhi wa salaam) wasn't ashamed or shy to take about Islam. And you find it sickening!!? What about calling everyone ignorant who doesn't follow your "educated band wagon" - is that not insulting!!? Stop acting like an innocent victim.

yes they're because what moulana narrated has come to us through the words of the Prophet (sal-allahu alayhi wa salaam). If you read the ahadith about houris, you will find out how descriptive they are. Since either you never read them or you don't believe in them, your whole objection is thrown out of window.

he was making a comparison between women in this duniya and women in the jannah. Hence, what he said is true - the women in this duniya are nothing in comparison to the women in jannah (when speaking specifically about beauty). You're blinded by prejudice and not willing to give him some benefit of doubt and trying to understand the meaning behind his words instead you're picking on literal words to suit your agenda.

the Qur'an isn't the only source of guidance - we also have the sunnah. But keep telling yourself, we'll see if that will work for you on the day of judgment.
This guy is fooling Muslims so yes it is a problem and Muslims should be concerned about Maulvis like this.

Mailee Kuchailee auratay refers to those immoral women on TV, Magazine, Internet who have no sense of modesty and shame and are selling their bodies for money. Astaghfirullah.
The pious women of this world, those who worship Allah, will be much, much more beautiful than the hoors of the Jannat.

More uglier than the video itself is the fact that a non-Muslim initiated this thread. Why start a thread based on one man's comment on an Islamic topic, who is not even a credible source in learning about Jannah and Hoors. Mr. Unos, you could have picked any other video on youtube that explains in a really decent and logical way about the concept of an Islamic Heaven and HOORS. Their are hundreds of them if you just write the key word in Youtube. WHY just this video ?!?!
If you notice, only the non-Muslims of the forum have jumped into the thread to grab the opportunity of bashing something that is non of their business. Why even bother when it is not related to you or doesn't concern your BELIEF SYSTEM.
Mods, please lock this thread. There is no point behind this thread. It is just like one of us (Muslims) pick a video of an illiterate ignorant Hindu saying ugly and wrong stuff about the basics of Hinduism, and post it here for everyone to laugh at and ridicule. Believe me, it is very easy to find one, but there is no point in stooping to that low level.
@ O.P. I would have no problem with this thread if you had shared a single videos/information in the past that show a good aspect of Islam (in your opinion) by a good scholar.

I, as a Muslim woman am appalled at the video. Having watched the video in it's entirety, I actually don't even care about the message because regardless of the "authenticity" of the message, the vitriol employed by this "alim-e-deen" nullifies his message - he treats women and their heavenly replacements (hooris) as objects on which a man slakes his lust. There is no indepenent value or worth of a woman in his eyes.
I was always taught that there is a modesty and a tehzeeb that one must employ when representing Islam and citing references from our Prophet - this man has crossed those boundaries in his narration. I don't respect him and I don't respect his message.

Who said he is an aalim. Have you ever seen any video of him before or heard his sayings anywhere ? Has anyone of us read his book ? Why do we take so seriously the comments of a self-claimed Aalim. Why not ignore stupid people and give more importance to the views of more credible and commonly followed scholars.
I at times feel that Christians and Hindus are a lot better than us (present day) Muslims in not giving importance to the foolish self-claimed scholars of their religion. We would always get pumped up and argue about individual bad cases. For Allah's Sake is it really that difficult to ignore foolish people and focus on the good scholars.
The Prophet (saw) called Scholars the "Inheritors of the Prophet". WE mock this hadith every time we accept the claim of a stupid person to be an aalim and start considering his words like that of an Aalim.

Refuting by a MUSLIM is logical and acceptable, but non-Muslims jumping in and (indirectly) ridiculing the (whole) concept is not acceptable, as evident by some of their replies.

If your issue is that non-Muslims are the ones initiating a conversation on this video and doing so in a disrespectful manner, then where are the Muslims who are refuting this video, who are challenging what this maulvi says and how he says what he says?
I, in no way, support either Muslims or non-Muslims bringing disrepute to Islam and the message of our Prophet, but I begin by challenging a man who speaks from within the faith as opposed to from outside of the faith.
