MULTAN: A female deputy superintendent of police (DSP) in charge of Investigation Wing, Multan, has adopted a unique method of making the accused confess to their alleged ‘crimes’ in the lock-up. She gets them stripped in the lock-up by her lieutenants in late hours before subjecting them to physical torture.
DSP Talat Habib is probably the first Pakistani police officer against whom DIG Multan Malik Iqbal registered a criminal case on October 12 on the charge of ordering to strip naked two under-interrogation accused after securing their remand from the area magistrate.
A station house officer (SHO) and two sub-inspectors, too, have been booked by the Multan police on charge of stripping the accused before subjecting them to torture on the orders of DSP Talat.
The victims were stripped and tortured for four hours before terrified captives even as DSP Talat sat in an adjacent room. The woman police officer is so powerful and the DIG so helpless before her that even after the registration of an FIR on October 12, she continues to serve at the same police station and is still practising the said methodology for interrogation. http://jang.com.pk/thenews/

Does it say anywhere that the person she tortured was accused of rape? Was this someone who attacked her? No, it doesn’t say anywhere on that. All his original post says is that she’s torturing people in jail and that does not make her any better than the men who rape women.
