aur saath saath hi issi lok musiqui kay hum lok raqs aur naachon ki guftugu bhi karein…
mas’alan punjab mein bhangra (or “pangRa”) to sab log jaante hain..lekin aur bhi mashoor naach honge, punjab ke bhi aur deegar soobon ke bhi…I like the NWFP dances and music very much..
I know some of our Lok songs from my village, but I’m not sure what they call them. Oh yeah there is this very special one, Chauki, and kaRoli. Chauki is sort of na’tiya song, the difference is that it is sung to praise a pir instead. We start singing by this song. KaRholi is as the name tells kaRholi songs :)there are lots of cute songs for brothers as well. Mehndi and sehra and other wedding songs must be common I mean the terms. We used to have songs for fasal and stuff but haven’t heard any, lekin I’ll ask my Daddi ammi about ’em.
