^ more if you wana read Mazaah (humor) then Ibn-e insha, Shafiq-ur rehman. Afsaney – Saadat hasan mantoo, krshan chandar. novels-- Razia butt, – other books … Shahab nama by qudrat ullah shahab, books by mumtaaz mufti are good too :k:

Library's in Lahore...Punjab Public Library behind NCA/ Old Towlington market or Diyal Singh College Library are good for some old Urdu novels by writers which are not that well known. But for most Famous Urdu writers the stuff is available from any good bookshop on the Mall.

As code_Red has mentioned also, I would recommend any of the books from Mumtaz Mufti, Bano Qudsiyah, and Ishfaq Ahmed they are always marvelous.

thank you everyone :)

As for the recent touch in urdu fiction i would recommend you not to miss reading novels by Umaira Ahmed and Riffat Siraj

Bano qudsia and tarar sahab always rule :k:
