And the prosecution distributes sweets.
Where are the protests? Not sure I have seen one thread here decrying this barbaric law and its barbaric implementation.

Althoguh it is very difficult to have real knowledge about any hyped issue as there is tons of skewed information from both sides. I dont comment about the vaiability of this law as it is passed by NA.
But this is a law that is to be abided by the citizen of pakistan.
This particluar incident , I read that the judge had earlier released 2 persons on similar case so surely he is not a fanatic . He must have seen strong evidences . There are rumors that this guy had done all it in planned way to get asylum.
Allah knows better
He came back from USA though! He would done it over there!
What does the abbreviation NA stand for?
This law needs to be changed.
Both siderism is not healthy. Both sides do it is a cop out, an escape from arriving at a humane outcome.
Respectfully, religion and state need to be separate. In the eyes of the lay, neither Ram or Allah knows better.
Regardless of where he posted, this is a bad law
NA = Nut-Jobs in the Assembly.. if you’re looking for worms and grubs in Pak you won’t find them in the woods. you have to look in our parliament buildings.. This law is a joke…PEROID..
Where are the threads on Indian law to first isolate and then eventually hurt all Muslims?
@Southie **Sahib The Law you mention here is for **inappropriate acts or statements!..
**So what Law is it in India that ****condemns ****40 Million Hindu Widows for NO Fault of Theirs only the natural Death of their Husband to a Life of Misery or total separation from Family?
Can you elaborate on that?**

welcome back
Sindsagar ji,
There is no law that condemns widows. It is society at large. The plight of the elderly is quite sad worldwide. Maybe in Pakistan , widows get better treatment. Maybe not. Depend on education level of the widow.
Per your own comment, the death penalty Is for inappropriate statements. Read this multiple times, and see if the law makes any sense. Come one Sindsagar ji, you can do better. The law can do better.

I agree that the NRC and CAA is unfair to Muslims and am against it. What do you think of blasphemy laws that deliver a death sentence for someone expressing their opinion?
@Southie **Even in the Modern World Spies and Deserters are to this day given the Death Penalty!
So the Mullahs have Quoted the Holy Prophet’s PBUH ruling for deserting during War Time! But they seem to apply it even in todays Not so Peaceful Time…As you know there has been an ON GOING WAR with our ****Neighbor Hindustan since 1947.!
Hence the Blasphemy Law!
Just Like Your PM Modi with the HINDU Parliment’s Blessing mind you All very Educated People has Openly declared War on All Muslims in India AND WIDOWED HINDU MOTHERS of India and Muslims from All Over the World!..
**
SimdSagar ji,
As I stated, I am against the discrimination against Muslims in India. But what does speaking ones mind about any religion have to do with spies and deserters?
It would be nice to hear condemnation of such laws.
At this stage, I am issuing a challenge to the all time winner of Gupshup debates.
Aa Jao maidan par.
Someone here saying the guy did this blasphemy to get asylum in a western country! But this poor bloke came back from USA!
yes the law is a draconian law!
Southie, I fear we are headed the same way. Barring Kerala and TamilNadu I don’t see actual resistance if similar law is implemented in India.
What kind of god is afraid of blasphemy from ordinary mortal like us?
Punishment for blasphemy must never be death sentence in 21st century. You just can never take someone’s life irrespective of the crime.
Ok, thanks. I misunderstood earlier.

I agree, the kaur
According to my information, he has been declared convict of blasphemy by a court of law through due process of law affording him full opportunity to get himself clear. It was a prolonged litigation and his lawyers kept on cross-examining a prosecution witness for more than three years from each and every angle but could not get anything favoring him. Material against him on record was so convincing that he could not escape the charges, so he was certainty not innocent. Now whether a person should be hanged on blasphemy charges or not is entirely a different debate.
