who agrees with me that the kids living in Pakistan are so much more intelligent than the desi kids living in UK/America etc?
over there they have to work 100 times harder than us…I was talking to some people who had come here from Lahore to visit…anyway, they were asking me “so how many nights do you have to stay up in a week to get ur work done?”
and I was shocked …I’ve never stayed up at nite to study…expect for a couple of exams for which I hadnt revised for. she said her bro is doing medicine in Pak, and he has to stay up nearly every night.

It's a different education system.
Eastern style education systems produce people with greater knowledge. The emphasis is on knowing as much as possible.
Western education imparts less knowledge but greater capability to apply knowledge. The emphasis is on flexible thinking, rather than maximum memorising.
East European/Pakistani/Indian/Chinese/Other Asian education systems are currently following the philosophy British/American education systems had in the 1940s and 1950s.
When you enter the business world, you really see the difference the style of education imparts because you work with people who have been through different education systems.

impluse baji i disagree with u on this issue. it’s just streo type. pakistan education system doesn’t have teh 11 and 12 grade. which means they have a short period of time to learn those things which learn in 11 and 12 grade. but if u are in AP classes then u will be working same as u do in pakistan.
sceond thing pakistani kids don’t have to study whole year they just have to worry about end of the because of finals.
last thing that pakistani kids msotly do “RATTA FRACTIOn” which means they memorize the things as it’s written in the books and they do not bother to understand the concept.

Im serious....they are much more intelligent...
when I went pak, I was looking at some of the kids work over there....and my cousin who is only 10 was doing work in biology....which they teach us here in UK in A-levels or first year of degree.

An example is how I’ve had to work with some contractors from a leading Indian company. These guys had amazing CVs. Great grades, top Indian schools, and when talking to them you can see they are utterly brilliant, they work with great attention to detail and they have an awe-inspiring amount of knowledge. These guys managed to fit 25 hours of studying into a 24 hour day when they were at uni.
They are also almost totally incapable of thinking out of the box - which is something I take for granted from my western-educated colleagues at the same level.
