Pakistani justice..

Re: Pakistani justice..

I really think justice here is "just a formality" ; it's words and nothing else. Since i've been here, i've seen firsthand, Pakistanis love to talk, but they don't deliver, from the darzi saying "yes ull get ur suit tommorrow" (when he's three weeks late) to a "justice system" that doesn't even protect the most innocent of its citizens. This isnt' JUST based on teh cases of Aisha Parveen, Mukhtara Mai, Sonia Naz, etc, human rights reports, but personal experiences as well. Someone told me, the way to justice here is get your brothers n male relatives to beat the guy up for you.. that's considered justice, not the police or anyone helping you out.

Re: Pakistani justice..

Nia, emotions are good, but unchecked will lead you to coronary at an early age. Having said that, I say the rapists need to be put to death, they cannot be cured/rehabiliated. It has been shown time and agian that they will committ the same crime if given the opportunity. This incident is not only sad, but also shows the hypocrisy of our society. Only when we truly fear Allah and do what is right and just, we can expect help from HIM.

Re: Pakistani justice..

kaleem paji - death is too simple punishment.

Re: Pakistani justice..

Nia I agree with you. These peole should be punished so severaly that others learn their lesson.

Sara, what happend to Ms. Parveen's case? Any update? Are Civil Society Org. (NGOs) raising their voice in her support?

It hurts me to say but frnakly speaking when the president of a country gets on international media and says about a woman (a rape victim) that she is only trying to get a visa abroad or international attention ...... oh my goshhhhhh ....... what justice can you expect from that govt. Allah hee reham keray iss mulk peh!!!

Re: Pakistani justice..

All men? Dont generalize, bibi’jee. There are decent folks too.

Re: Pakistani justice..

Its easy to get angry in these cases but you have to remember that if the verdict is erroneous in a rape case, it can be havoc.. I guess the best thing to do is to implement sharia and setup Islamic courts in each town/village and make purdah strict for everyone! If women would have stayed home, this would not happened.

Re: Pakistani justice..

Goshhh Mulz... are you from Oregon or "Cheechun ki Mulliyan"? Put women in purdah coz men can't control their thingy! WOW

Re: Pakistani justice..

Damn right, plus we have vultures ready to fund these victims (for kheraat) abroad too!

Re: Pakistani justice..

agreed,
for such beings - keep them alive and give them the daily dose of torture.

i second that

Re: Pakistani justice..

How do Arabs control everything so well? Why no one dares to do such an evil act in the arab land.. anyone cant even think of raping a woman cuz laws are laws there- eye for eye, blood for blood and death for rape! Unfortunately, we Pakistanis are stuck somewhere in between- we dont have system like them neither do we have been able to ape the west completely. For sure we have a population which thinks they are homely being like westerners..

Re: Pakistani justice..

Well, if you are so much pro-Arab, or anti-West, y dont u go and live in Saudia, or try to live the life of an average poor person in PK, so that you know what it means? this discussion aside ....

My question is to all those on this chat, who are bothered by this injustice, what are we doing about it in our individual capacity, those who are in Pk and/or those outside? Knowing our sickening and corrupt justice system, can we do anything about it? Can we help a poor survivor or are we just gonna watch that survivor beocme the victim again?

Re: Pakistani justice..

You bet, bro.

Re: Pakistani justice..

PAK ser zameen shaad baaad!
ISLAMIC republic of Pakistan.

Re: Pakistani justice..

:jhanda: :salute:

Re: Pakistani justice..

You have got to be kidding me! Whatever happened to "lower your gaze." The girl was kidnapped on her way to school - how do we know she wasn't wearing a hijab? The fact is that it is not safe in Pakistan for a woman to walk around alone anywhere - that is not the way it should be in a muslim country.

When I was in the Gulf, it was very easy and safe for me to go to the shops, even if I didn't have anyone with me. I have never been to another muslim country that was as unsafe for women as Pakistan (except India), and I have been to quite a few.

How about actually punishing men for abusing women, or, better yet, mothers actually educating their sons about the proper way to treat women.

Re: Pakistani justice..

What can I say now? Sheesh I meanme saying all the pathethic words to the government and people won’t do no good. How many of the women has been through this crap and yet nothing has done to stop it.

Mukhtara mai came out and still there were low headed people were critisiing her for coming out in public :smack: and yet another case of this woman…sigh

no words

Re: Pakistani justice..

I am so sorry for the girl but look at this way- if you invite others, you can possibly end-up being like her. I am not saying she did that but its possible if any girl does that. I think we shud have harsh punishment and strict enforcement of law and order to take care of this stupid things. Amen

Re: Pakistani justice..

and let the men scratch crotches on streets :k:

Re: Pakistani justice..

mulz paa ji!

we are talking about abusive pakistani men here. mein ne yeh to nahee kaha sab karab hain … 5 fingers are never equal EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE ON ONE HAND.

so no worries.. i know few really nice pakistani mundas

Re: Pakistani justice..

THIS IS THE MENTALITY - which is leading towards issues.

I think all the countries went through this transition where women started to work years ago. But few pakistani men got disgusting dirty minds.

mulz- with that type of thinking i would create a island for people like yourself and make sure you folks wont leave from there.. this would be under nia’s government .

  • There is no point of discussing more with this mentality simply throw you folks on the island and let you have your own fun

captaan ji didnt expect that from you folks. whats surprising you guys would still do it even if you see a total jalbabaan…
