Pakistani is bad! UK is worst! Says Karazai (May be Afghans should blame themselves)

Funny, That Karazai lashes out at Pakistan, blaming it for everything. Now this pseudo-intellectual, paper-warrior has bitten the very hand that feeds him these days.

Nothing new from Afghans though. The same Karazai lived a comfy life in Pakistan, but the moment he was “installed” as mayor of Kabul, he started bad-mouthing Pakistan too.

Now UK has hit back at this little mayor. I think Pakistan should invite UK to setup their office in Pakistan and launch the operations in Afghanistan from here. Pakistani troops should go in for support too.

The real cancer is Afghanistan, and not in FATAnistan. Pakistani army must chase these talibans all the way to Kandhar.

** Downing Street has hit back at claims by Afghan President Hamid Karzai that the arrival of British troops made security in his country worse. ** The Times reported that Mr Karzai blamed inadequate troop numbers in the southern Helmand Province for helping the Taleban regain its control.
A Downing Street spokesman said he "wouldn't accept" UK presence had helped insurgents to take hold.
He said UK troops had "suffered losses" to aid Afghanistan's development.
The Times said Mr Karzai, speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, told a group of journalists that "there was one part of the country where we suffered after the arrival of the British forces", referring to Helmand.

** Both the American and the British forces guaranteed to me they knew what they were doing and I made the mistake of listening to them **
                                                                                     Hamid Karzai Afghan President
He said the mistake was allowing the US and the UK to replace the province's sitting governor.

"Before that we were fully in charge of Helmand. When our governor was there, we were fully in charge. They came and said, ‘Your governor is no good.’
“I said ‘All right, do we have a replacement for this governor; do you have enough forces?’” Mr Karzai said.
“Both the American and the British forces guaranteed to me they knew what they were doing and I made the mistake of listening to them. And when they came in, the Taleban came.”
** ‘Bravery and determination’ **
But asked if the UK would accept that British troops’ presence had allowed the Taleban back in, Prime Minister Gordon Brown’s spokesman replied: "Of course we wouldn’t accept that.

** Our armed forces have suffered losses and shown great bravery and determination **
                                                                                     Prime minister's spokesman
"We are working alongside the Afghan government in order to drive out the Taleban from Helmand."

He said the UK’s strength in Afghanistan had been to “work with the Afghan government and to extend the authority of the Afghan government throughout the province to allow economic and political development”.
“And it’s to that aim that our armed forces have suffered losses and shown great bravery and determination.”
He added that the UK was working closely with the Afghan authorities to resolve “political and economic and military issues in Helmand”.
Mr Brown and Mr Karzai are to meet in Davos later for talks.

The prime minister's spokesman said the meeting was expected to be brief and he stressed that the two leaders had long talks during Mr Brown's visit to Kabul last month.

Labour MP David Crausby, member of the Commons Defence Select Committee and who visited Helmand in September, told BBC Radio 4’s The World at One that he agreed with Mr Karzai on troop numbers.
But he added that the finger of blame should not be pointed at Britain or the US.
“That’s been the fault of some of our Nato allies who haven’t provided the sort of support that they really ought to supply, and they haven’t supplied the right number of troops in the difficult areas of Afghanistan,” Mr Crausby said.
“Britain’s done more than its share of providing troops in Afghanistan and it’s taken on a very different, difficult region in Helmand province.”

        Story from BBC NEWS:

Re: Pakistani is bad! UK is worst! Says Karazai (May be Afghans should blame themselv

^^ Karzai is puppet of ISI, they say we know how much milligram of piss he did yesterday ..

Re: Pakistani is bad! UK is worst! Says Karazai (May be Afghans should blame themselv

That is why we need to seal the border, no trade convoys to/from Afghanistan (just like what we did in 1960s), no aid flow FROM Pakistan. If Pakistan is so bad please trade with Iran, I am sure they will take them with "both" hands as well as third hidden.

Once we seal the border, not only will militants not infiltrate from Afghanistan but it will also block any "refueling" of militants for money but also for ammunition that comes from the other side. Let them die their natural death.

Re: Pakistani is bad! UK is worst! Says Karazai (May be Afghans should blame themselv

^^ and what about militants inside our borders? crush them with full force or talk with them?

Re: Pakistani is bad! UK is worst! Says Karazai (May be Afghans should blame themselv

They need to be crushed all right (not let them escape, hint Mullah Fazlullah), once they are unable to goto Afghanistan and unable to refuel AND our ISI/military is cleansed then they will only die their natural death.

Re: Pakistani is bad! UK is worst! Says Karazai (May be Afghans should blame themselv

^^ Once i red a quote somewhere, it was " Only losers blames others"

Karzai is hidding his incompetency by blaming others for his short-comings, some says his control is only in the Presdential palace and other claim no, his wife rules there...

Sealing the border is the best option, once done, it will be easy for Pakistani forces to clean the leftovers.

Re: Pakistani is bad! UK is worst! Says Karazai (May be Afghans should blame themselv

  1. you forget that so many pakistanis buy soman cheap goods that come via afghanistan. everything form laptops to soap is smuggled - its a 2 way thing.

  2. the claims are that militants are refuelling in pakistan not afghanistan so i dont know how effective it would be.

Re: Pakistani is bad! UK is worst! Says Karazai (May be Afghans should blame themselv

Laptops coming via Afghanistan??? Who is making'em Iran or central Asian countries? I don't know if any value-added products are really coming from Afghanistan, if anything it should be coming from Chinese border or oil/some bikes from Irani border. Anyway, you gain some you lose some, we need to set our priorities right.

Thats what Afghanistan claims. Militants get opium/money from Afghanistan and exchange it for arms/ammo in Pakistan (probably), we will cut some of their links.

Re: Pakistani is bad! UK is worst! Says Karazai (May be Afghans should blame themselv

Great so the boozers and junkies in Saddar, Karachi are funding this nonsensical not-really-much-of-a-jihaad?

Re: Pakistani is bad! UK is worst! Says Karazai (May be Afghans should blame themselv

It is Joke right???

Re: Pakistani is bad! UK is worst! Says Karazai (May be Afghans should blame themselv

Puppet of ISI and bad mouthing over Pakistan?! Are you kidding me?
He sounds more like Altaf in his best years.

Re: Pakistani is bad! UK is worst! Says Karazai (May be Afghans should blame themselv

Was Karzai right in asking Pakistan to "do more" about support Afghan Taliban were getting from Pakistani Taliban a few months ago?
Was Pakistan right in supporting all-Pashtun Taliban government in Afghanistan before 2001? If not, is Pakistani army responsible for terror training Taliban conducted in Afghanistan? Is Pakistani army responsible for Taliban's crimes against women in Afghanistan? Is Pakistani army responsible for Taliban supported sectarian killers causing havoc in Pakistan?

Most of us Pakistanis get pi**ed off when people like Karzai bad-mouth Pakistan. But when it comes to causing harm to Pakistan, we Pakistan are our own worst enemies.

Re: Pakistani is bad! UK is worst! Says Karazai (May be Afghans should blame themselv

Pakistan needs to do "more" alright but the refueling is from Afghanistan side, not Pakistani side.

Pakistan made the same mistake that US made, Pakistan made Taliban (partly support of CIA) while US made Alkeyda. Both are responsible (indirectly) for what happened in Afghanistan, Iraq and now in Pakistan.

Re: Pakistani is bad! UK is worst! Says Karazai (May be Afghans should blame themselv

Afghanistan is the cancer that attracts Jihadi mosquitoes from all over the world. Until you attack the cancer, Jihadis will continue multiplying.

Pak army must cross the border and attack Mullah Omer instead of fighting Mehsud.

Once Mullah Omer is gone, the head of the serpent will be cut, and Mehsuds will die automatically.

Re: Pakistani is bad! UK is worst! Says Karazai (May be Afghans should blame themselv

I wonder why this hasn't been done yet whilst having best of intelligence agencies, arms etc.
